There is little evidence of this show being notable outside of TalkTV, and as many of the references in both Wikipedia article note, Morgan's show - and Morgan himself - have been seen as the face of TalkTV. QueenofBithynia (talk) 13:55, 12 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep the show is very much news-worthy and talked about, and outside of the UK had been marketed by Fox Nation and Sky News Australia, merging into Talk TV doesn't make sense with it being prominent in multiple markets. TVHead (talk) 00:34, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • I think it should be merged because it gives readers of the article more information about the channel and of Piers Morgan Uncensored without going through the bother and fuss of creating a whole other article. WikiFan2456 (talk) 13:18, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment I suppose it depends on how much non-Murdoch coverage the show is getting in other markets. From a quick Google search, aside from commentary on the opening night coup of getting a former President on the show, and other Murdoch-owned outlets talking about it, there doesn't seem to be much US/Australian coverage at all from what I can see. TubularWorld (talk) 15:56, 16 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
    That is a very good point. Noted. WikiFan2456 (talk) 00:50, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose: your reviews at Talk:Piers Morgan Uncensored show that it is notable. TalkTV is separately notability for coverage that focuses on Murdoch's motivations, other prominent figures involved and the development of the channel. Morgan is indeed currently the face of TalkTV. But I think there is enough notability and encyclopedic content here for two articles. — Bilorv (talk) 21:14, 17 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I would note that many of those reviews talk about the programme in the context of TalkTV's launch, and speak about Morgan's show as the main show on the channel (after all, his face is used on all the advertising). QueenofBithynia (talk) 11:46, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Political position

[edit]

If any reliable sources give the station’s political position (if it has one) could an editor please add that in. All good wishes. Springnuts (talk) 16:23, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The Daily Telegraph (itself a right-wing/Conservative paper) has called TalkTV right-wing [1] "TalkTV and its tribe of right-wing commentators". The Guardian talks about TalkTV being right-wing [2] "The only reason fringe channels are failing to flourish in Britain’s rightwing media swamp is because it is already full". Most of Rupert Murdoch's other properties, many of which share presenters/journalists with TalkTV, or cross-advertise works (including Fox News/Fox Nation where Morgan's TalkTV show is rebroadcast and The Times - where TalkTV/TalkRadio are sister channels to its companion radio station, Times Radio) are well documented as being right-wing too. TubularWorld (talk) 22:22, 12 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure there are sources to establish "right-wing" as the correct label, but two opinion pieces aren't enough for me to add it in now. I don't know exactly how the channel works but there's also a difference between having right-wing pundits and presenting right-wing news bulletins (if they have bulletin-form programmes). — Bilorv (talk) 18:30, 17 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Picture Format / Resolution

[edit]

Whilst 1080i was the picture format with respect to its linear platform, I assume that 1080p is used for its online platform? Dabmonger (talk) 01:18, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unless there is a verifiable source, the best option might be to remove the detail on picture format rather than taking a guess. TubularWorld (talk) 09:42, 10 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge article with TalkRadio?

[edit]

Now that Talk (TV) appears to be little more than a camera in-front of the Talkradio hosts on their radio show, should the articles be merged? Going forward I can see it being the case that any edits to one article will end up being mirrored on the other, so should TalkTV just become a section of the radio station's history detailing the expansion into a radio-video feed and short-lived TV channel?
