The Guardian

[edit]

The Guardian reckons Lapid only has 32 declared supporters: [1] 2A00:23C7:8404:D301:95C9:9A7D:12A8:956 (talk) 23:45, 5 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like The Guardian is incorrect. David O. Johnson (talk) 00:17, 6 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

14 days extension of mandate

[edit]

According to Basic Law: The Government (2001), 9. Re-assignment of task, there's no additional 14 days extension of the mandate to form a government for the second assignment. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.221.111.218 (talk) 12:33, 8 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"Both attacks were lethal"

[edit]

Can some proportionality be added here, please? You don't have to go overboard, but it's kind of misleading as it stands. Jikybebna (talk) 05:16, 31 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nir Orbach is not a minister. The settlement affairs portfolio has been handed to the Prime Minister.[1] - 2601:44:2:5BC0:CCCC:1DD:5B16:8717 (talk) 05:30, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 13:10, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
ScottishFinnishRadish, the article currently says on the category, "Members of government", that Nir Orbach has a portfolio. I am asking for that to be deleted and put next Bennett’s name.[2]

Done. Settlements portfolio is called Minister of Community Affairs on the Knesset website. --Triggerhippie4 (talk) 15:46, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Deputy ministers

[edit]

Triggerhippie4, they are not in office yet. Euro know (talk) 14:41, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Euro know: What does it mean? Wouldn't it better to add a note about it rather than hide? --Triggerhippie4 (talk) 14:42, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
They are supposed to be in office after a government decision. No such decision was made yet. Euro know (talk) 14:53, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It would be better for readers to have this information added to the section, instead of hiding the list. --Triggerhippie4 (talk) 15:00, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Triggerhippie4, maybe mark it as proposed deputy ministers.
However, they unofficially have all started their jobs even if they have not been confirmed yet. Idan (username is Zvikorn) (talk) 07:28, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Which ministers report to the alternate PM?

[edit]

In the article on the Alternate Prime Minister it says: "Government ministers report either to the prime minister or the alternate prime minister, with the prime minister being unable to dismiss cabinet ministers reporting to the alternate prime minister without the alternate prime minister's consent". I think it would be useful to show which ministers in this 36th cabinet report to Bennett, which to Lapid. Or is this completely unknown?

(Similarly, maybe the article for the 35th government could show which reported to Natanyahu and which to Gantz?) 195.194.75.226 (talk) 08:58, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

35: BW, Avoda, Dereh Eretz reported to Gantz.
36: Lapid, BW, Lieberman, Avoda, Meretz, Abbas report to Lapid
others report to Bibi and Bennet Idan (username is Zvikorn) (talk) 16:53, 15 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Abbas as deputy minister

[edit]

First of all, the deputy ministers haven't been appointed yet. Anyway, Abbas is indeed allocated a seat as deputy minister in the coalition agreements, but he is not planning to fill it at the moment.

PM and President

[edit]

I think that the fact that the President is above the PM in the card may will make people that don't read much think that the President is more important than the PM in the government Red Gabriel (talk) 07:37, 19 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

While the infobox was correctly updated with the news that Yair Lapid has taken over as Prime Minister while Bennett has become Alternate Prime Minister on July 1 2022, the "Members of government" section is not updated and still lists Bennett as Prime Minister. I would request that the table is adjusted to reflect that Bennett was Prime Minister from 13 June 2021 – 30 June 2022 and Lapid is Prime Minister from July 1 2022 till now. CrazyPredictor (talk) 00:48, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Done I swapped them (and their party affiliation). If something still isn't right, {{ping}} me. SWinxy (talk) 23:54, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, there's still a few inaccuracy in the portfolio.
Lapid is still Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Bennett is still Minister of Community Affairs. The portfolio swap only pertains to the Prime Minister and Alternative Prime Minister positions, and not to their other portfolio.
In addition, Gideon Sa`ar is no longer Deputy Prime Minister since 9th July 2021.
Please refer to the official government website to correctly update the page.
