  • Infobox should mention only the main genre (action-adventure).
  • The game world is navigated by driving vehicles and by using a grappling hook. - but this is not the main way of navigation, right? I think this is a bit misleading.
  • and the best-selling PlayStation 4 game - This is misleading as well. Wouldn't that honor go to the CODs or the GTAs?
  • In combat, players can use long-ranged weapons, such as rifles and shotguns, and short-barreled guns such as pistols and revolvers; handheld explosives such as grenades and dynamite are also available - need a citation.
  • Players control different characters from the series - not sourced
  • Despite adding some freedom and player decisions, the writers ultimately wanted to tell a specific story and explore specific emotional moments. - The two statements are not contradictory though. You can add freedom and player gameplay decisions but this won't interfere with storytelling, right? Maybe remove the first part of this sentence?
  • There is a [disambiguation needed] tag in the part about Nadine Ross.
  • Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was Naughty Dog's first game developed for the PlayStation 4, having re-released The Last of Us for the console as The Last of Us Remastered in July 2014 - They technically develop The Last of Us Remastered, so I am not quite sure if this statement can be considered as accurate.
  • I think it is worth mentioning that Sony released free downloadable content for the multiplayer portion. I think you can mention a bit more about The Lost Legacy. The information we have about it right now is a bit barebone.
  • I think there are too many quotes in the reception section. While it is far from close paraphrasing, it would be better if there are a bit more paraphrasing efforts.
  • Hansen of Destructoid felt that the character relationships were not overshadowed - overshadowed by what?
  • Hurley of GamesRadar praised the improved gameplay, but felt that the optional moments were "a little overcooked" in comparison to previous entries - What are these gameplay "optional moments"? Side-missions? Collectibles? Does the game have collectible items players can collect?
  • By December 2016, the game had sold 8.7 million copies, making it the best-selling PlayStation 4 game of all time - I think this is misleading as well.

Overall, this is a solid article. Putting it on hold. OceanHok (talk) 06:18, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your review, OceanHok. I've made some changes based on your comments. The infobox documentation states that several genres can be listed. The game is listed as the best selling on Wikipedia's list, but this will always be incomplete and is likely inaccurate, so I've rephrased. Let me know if you have any more concerns. – Rhain 08:08, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Rhain: The article is now a GA. Keep up the good work! OceanHok (talk) 12:59, 14 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge accolades list

[edit]

Per recent discussions ([1] [2] [3]) on standalone accolades lists, I think List of accolades received by Uncharted 4: A Thief's End should be merged back into this article. The table is far too short to warrant a separate article per WP:SPLIT. The relevant guideline is at WP:VG/AWARDS. Axem Titanium (talk) 05:39, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree here. I think the Uncharted 2 list should certainly be merged, but this one is big enough to stay as a standalone list. Merging it back to the parent article would make the latter too large. – Rhain 03:38, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
There are no limitations to an article's vertical length, per WP:SIZESPLIT, only its prose size. The main UC4 page is not too long (only 25k characters) to warrant a split. Axem Titanium (talk) 19:01, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge – Better user experience on mobile by having a separate list for accolades. Accolades are a significant part of the game information. Also, the Uncharted 4 article is not too long for this section Vinay84 (talk) 11:14, 2 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Creative and game directors mix up

[edit]

The caption for the first image in Development section stated that Neil Druckmann is game director and Bruce Straley is creative director, but further in the paragraph it is the vice versa. So which one's correct? Neocorelight (Talk) 02:09, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Good catch; Druckmann was creative, Straley was game director. This is my bad; I didn't fix the caption after changing the images. – Rhain 02:43, 17 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
