Untitled
[edit]The narrative format of some of these sections is very bad. There is little actual information or citations. If all there is in a section is a list of works, it should be put into a list format, and the rambling text, rife with unsubstantiated opinions, deleted. Text should be informative and sourced. This is not a fan website. There's plenty of books, periodicals, and newspaper articles which discuss VDP. It would be great if some actual research were done and citations properly made and all the opinions and amateur music analysis removed. It's such a disservice to a great artist. Please help. Parks-Little Feat
[edit]how on earth did so many authors miss the vital Parks-Little Feat connection?
The Honeymooners
[edit]I'd like to know how the whole Honeymooners thing found its way into VDP bios. I always was a big Honeymooners fan. I've seen all of the "classic 39" episodes, along with most (possibly all) of the "lost 75" episodes, and the Tommy Manicotti character only appeared once, and he was played by a kid named Ralph Robertson. Robertson appeared in the same season as another kid named Johnny Bennett. The only legitimate thing I can think of is that perhaps Van Dyke used "Ralph Robertson" as a pseudonym for whatever reason. http://scattered-frog.blogspot.com (talk) 12:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Nope, that's him. Check the 33 1/3 book on Song Cycle.--65.46.15.194 (talk) 16:36, 18 November 2011 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:SongCyclealbumcover.png
[edit]The image Image:SongCyclealbumcover.png is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.

Work for other artists
[edit]The following two paragraphs were in the section on Parks' work with other artists, but I fail to see how they are relevant:
- Several of Parks' close friends and collaborators from different periods have suffered from depression and self destructive behavior. This includes Brian Wilson, as well as Lowell George, Phil Ochs and Harry Nilsson.
- He reportedly came up with the name Three Dog Night for Danny Hutton's group while reading Mankind magazine at Hutton's Laurel Canyon home.
Neither of these remarks are referenced, neither are appropriate to that section, and one is inclined to say so what to both. These are very trivial. ---RepublicanJacobiteThe'FortyFive' 03:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
