Year of birth: 1989 or 1993

In 2015, the first revision of this biography page listed her year of birth as 1989, with no reference at all.[1] Shortly thereafter, the same original author added refs,[2] including the 2015 ASCAP Expo source saying 1989 birth year. After that, the same author changed the year to 1992 without citing a source,[3] then again to 1993 without a source.[4] Since then, the year has been changed back and forth a bunch of times.

Monét once tweeted that she was 21 years old, in May 2010, a week after her birthday.[5] That would make her birth year 1989. An earlier tweet exists but I can't read it: https://twitter.com/VictoriaMonet/status/12803152707?s=20

But some media sources say 1993, or they give an age that calculates back to 1993. For instance, The Guardian wrote in late 2019 that she was 26 years old. Similarly, Billboard wrote in mid-2019 that she was 26 years old. Her bio at Apple.com says 1993 birth. What year should we use? Binksternet (talk) 17:01, 19 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
