He was sick since 2016.The news of his death was a shock to Marathi and Konkani Literature worlds. He was 54 at the time of his death. He was elected from St Andre constituency in 2012, and became the member of Goa Assembly for the first time. He had a heart attack while he was the deputy speaker.He then had to be in a wheelchair all the time. Aruna Wagh said that he was in Manipal Hospital, Donapaula for two months.He got sick very often hence, he wanted to be in Cape Town, Johannesberg.

He started his political career in the 90s through MG Party and later joined Congress.He was the president of Youth wing of Congress. he was also the editor of 'Vartaman', an daily evening newspaper. He also worked for Shivsena.

Before the 2012 elections, he entered BJP. His poems are loved by many Maharshtrian fans too. He had done numerous poetry readings, while in Mumbai. He served as the chairman of Kala Academy.

He shifted from MGP to Congress in 1992.[....]His decision was questioned by Vishwanath Naik, Kaustubh Naik's grandfather.[....] He wrote a poetry collection called Sushegaad and Sudirsukt.[....] Sudirsukt was like a political manifesto. The main factor being that the collection was not only a commentary of Goan Community but also is a legacy of philosophers like Gilles Deleuze and Guattari, Frantz Fanon, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Antonio Gramsci. [....] Wagh's writing brought Literary modernism to Konkani Literature.[.....]

[...] He was elder to Ramrao Wagh by two years. [...] He was the second of the four kids. Ramrao used to refer to him as Baba(father). Ever since he was a child,he was one of the brilliant and smart minds. Their father was a theatre director and was known as the Natyamaster in neighbouring villages. [...] Wagh read all the books that his father had in the house multiple times. He was greatly influenced by writers like Khadilkar, Kanetkar and Gadkari. [...] When a local library started out, he was a regular visitor.The librarian Raghuvir used to advice him on the kind of books he should read. He got his hands on mystery novels and Shringarik Literature, which he used to read sitting on the 'Maalo' of his home. Due to some reason the library closed, but by that time Wagh became a Panch at their Village Panchayat. He restarted the Library. [...] Wagh also liked to read newspaper and he would always read Gomantak, Navprabha,Rashtramat and Tarun Bharat[.....] He was also part of many radio plays.[....] As a child, he used to enact famous mythological characters like Krishna and Ram at Dhalo, which was a great influence on his career in theatre and as a public speaker.

His family was not very religious, but they were interested in Bhajan, Kirtan and religious text readings.Wagh regularly attended the Kirtan programmes at the Shri Ram - Hanuman Mandir in their village.He used to devoutly listen to the Kirtankar and then mull over it.Once, one of the Kirtankars asked the children to lean Ramdas' ovya(verses), which Wagh did and could say them perfectly. He had a good rapport with all the Kirtankars that visited the village ever since that incident.One of them, named Valimbe taught him about the whole art of Kirtan. Valimbe also remained in his contact through letters.

His family was part of the Padmanabh Community, hence Wagh became really close to Brahmanand Swami. Wagh started attending religious text readings in his village during the holy month of Shravan. He would sing Ovis(verses) and tell their meaning, as a child. [...]

He scored the tenth rank for board examinations in tenth grade. Due to comditions at home, he was enrolled in MES higher secondary school in Vasco, in Science stream. He used to stay at his maternal aunt's place in Vasco. After receiving encouragement from his professors he started participating in various competitions and became a star in Vasco. He got his hands on the books in Municipal Library. He started becoming friends with other artist in Vasco and he started writing and directing one act plays. He started doing the same at University level competitions too.The next year he got a first class, with the highest marks in Languages, but did not do as well in Science and Math due to lack of interest.

He joined Dhempe for his degree. He actively participated in Students' movements and was guided by Nandkumar Kamat. After graduation, he enrolled in the newly established Goa University, for post graduation, first for Biochemistry and then for Microbiology. Everything was going smoothly when unfortunately, his father died in 1987.Then he realised his responsibilties and shifted to Journalism in second year. He worked as the deputy editor at Gomantak Times, the new english daily newspaper. Then he started working for 'Newslink', an english newspaper by Tarun Bharat in Belgaum.Then it was merged with Tarun Bharat and he became a reporter there.

Ponda Hansa Musical Theatre Group[ Ponda Hansa Sangeet Natyamandal] belonged to their family, hence Wagh lived Vishwanath Naik. He also was on stage with Somnath,Dilip, Ravindra, Vijaykumar and other companions. [.....] iamvardhana (talk) 15:33, 7 April 2019 (UTC)
