... that before his death, Belarusian activist Vitaly Shishov was the head of the Belarusian House in Ukraine, an organization which helps people escape repression in Belarus following the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests?Source: " Mr. Shishov was the director of the Belarusian House in Ukraine, an organization that helped people trying to escape repression in Belarus" New York Times

- Sad interesting story, on good sources, no copyvio obvious. When I read the hook, I thought: of course before his death, and: repetition of Belarus. Could you help that, please? I like the header by the BBC "Belarus activist feared for life before he died". I don't think the exact name of the organisation helps, and once it has an article it can have its own DYK. So my take would be:
- ALT0a: ... that Vitaly Shishov, the head of an organisation helping people escape repression following the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests, feared for life before he died? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:46, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- I definitely agree there’s too much Belarus mentioned in the hook, but I do like “Belorussian activist preceding his name.Thriley (talk) 16:57, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- Maybe: ALT1: ... that Belarusian activist Vitaly Shishov, the head of an organisation helping people escape repression following the 2020–2021 Belarusian protests, feared for life before he died? Thriley (talk) 17:00, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
- I hoped for that because I should not approve "my" hook. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:08, 25 August 2021 (UTC)
