Merge

[edit]

I vote that Barak (Aborigine) should be merged into William Barak. 'William Barak' is the accepted name in the art world. See, for example, http://www.ngv.vic.gov.au/collection/australian/painting/b/possum.html Jonathan O'Donnell 05:45, 4 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I moderate Culture Victoria. We have the William Barak story in CV which includes images and video from the Koorie Heritage Trust, the State Library of Victoria, and the National Gallery of Victoria. I've had a look at the guidelines for adding external links and thought that a link to CV would be relevant and appropriate. Please let me know what you think. Also, the last of the external links appears to be broken, and the link to the Ballarat Gallery does not link directly to the Barak entry in their database.Eleworth (talk) 04:34, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Looks good Eleworth. I was a bit confused when I clicked on your link above. It was all in French. Then I realised it should be www.cv.vic.gov.au rather than www.cv.com. I like your website. I'm thinking of using it in a Year 8 Science class tomorrow!
As far as I'm concerned you can go ahead and make your changes. HiLo48 (talk) 06:04, 26 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, will add it (and check the link works!)--Eleworth (talk) 05:31, 10 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
