Interesting life, good article on good sources, offline and French sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. Cute unusual hook! - For the article: please sort refs by number, and I never need more than three ;) - Article title: why is Duke not capital, as I understand the title of a specific person should be? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 12:39, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
@Gerda Arendt:
Refs reordered.
Duke/duke? I moved it to Duke, which resulted in this. Gog the Mild (talk) 13:39, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Understand. How about Constantine Dalassenos of Antioch then (if duke is a misleading translation)? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:09, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
Well, he wasn't of Antioch - he was just posted there as doux for a while. It is to distinguish him from a Byzantine admiral of the same name, so the obvious - to me - endings would be (Byzantine general) and (Byzantine admiral). But Cplakidas (Constantine) won't have it. He is tremendously knowledgeable and helpful on all things Byzantine and associated. But he can be a stubborn Greek; when I changed to "Duke" he reverted without consultation. (Another editor re-reverted and for a while I thought that things would get nasty.) You may have noticed that he made a couple of edits to the article during the GA assessment. I prefer not to get on his wrong side; and he really is very helpful and a huge asset to Wikipedia. And, frankly, do I care just how he is disambiguated? Gog the Mild (talk) 14:47, 21 June 2018 (UTC)
