  • I might review this in the future, but for now, I have to say that the current hook doesn't really appeal to a broad audience. Unless the reader is familiar with the names mentioned, the hook doesn't seem significant or interesting. Can something else be proposed here? A QPQ is also needed. I've been thinking about this for a while and while I like the direction, I do admit it's a bit clunky. I wonder if there's a way to make it more concise while still making it accessible to people unfamiliar with the names given (which is why I don't think ALT1 as currently written should be the option). Almost there, it just needs to be clarified that it was Ben's son who heard the song. If I were you, what I could do is to make the hook passive (as in, mention Jorge Ben's son first) then put the song name at the end, mainly to avoid the clunky wording and avoid ambiguity.   • Did some WP:verifying that kind of ended up belying these hooks; the source (“Jorge Ben’s son, Gabriel, heard the track in the clubs, it had reached America by that stage, so we had to pay them for the rights. That said, Toquinho didn’t charge us anything. He lives close to me, he’s a gentle soul. Anyway, we got it cleared, which was great – it’s a lot more difficult to get samples cleared these days.) does not unambiguously say that royalties were actually paid. So probably want a hook in another vein altogether. Nevertheless I can give approval for everything else – length, newness, no copyvio, cites (though the use of inlines a bit funky). Proposing this hook for a second set of eyes to approve:

As written, [4] implies "Que Maravilha/Carolina Carol Bela" was a double A-side, and [1] doesn't mention "Que Maravilha", so I need both.--Launchballer 13:32, 6 July 2023 (UTC)
