The push of the article has little to do with the FDR quote, which is only a piece of trivia in that context. I might recommend tweaking so that the reader understands a little about what makes this statue special or distinctive, instead of just another random park statue. City, or example, or mention the sculptor is notable or the year it was revealed, to provide at least a little context besides FDR's opinion of Lee. 47.185.218.146 (talk) 01:53, 16 June 2019 (UTC)
First and foremost this is great example of Americana. Monument and it history (first great public support including President Franklin D. Roosevelt later City Council decision to get rid of this historical as well as art object ) all makes it very prominent and world famous subject. User:Abune (talk) 13:12, 21 June 2019 (UTC)
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: If the DYK check was performed improperly, I would much appreciate it if you would perform a DYK check. Thanks so much!MagicatthemovieS (talk) 15:27, 27 June 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS
@Jo-Jo Eumerus: I have no interest in getting this nomination reviewed again. I just thought that you were going to challenge the fact that the nomination passed, but apparently you will not.MagicatthemovieS (talk) 16:31, 27 June 2019 (UTC)MagicatthemovieS
Hey, MagicatthemovieS! I removed this from prep -- as the nom, you're asked to allow another editor to move it, as part of our process for making sure all steps have been completed by non-involved editors. --valereee (talk) 16:56, 27 June 2019 (UTC)

Can we get a closer crop on that pic? I tried, but the crop tool isn't coming up for me for some reason. If it were cropped close to square, we get the best clarity. --valereee (talk) 19:20, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
@Valereee: the crop tool didn't open for me, either, and I suspect because it is a .tif file. So, I saved it as a .jpg file and uploaded a new pic that way. Then the crop tool worked: Feel free to crop this one. I wonder who the second horseman is, and why he was significant enough to be included in the sculpture.— Maile (talk) 01:34, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
@Maile66: the crop you gave it was exactly what I was thinking of, I've given it the caption and put it into the template, thanks! From the source it sounds like the second rider is just an anonymous young soldier, maybe meant to represent the men Lee was leading? --valereee (talk) 10:46, 30 June 2019 (UTC)
Not yet long enough --valereee (talk) 19:26, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
Magicat, you've mentioned that you have a specific date in mind, please make note of that prominently here so editors will know what date you're requesting. --valereee (talk) 19:39, 27 June 2019 (UTC)
