2016 Toulon Tournament |
The Toulon Tournament (officially the Tournoi Espoirs de Toulon or "Toulon Young Players' Tournament")[1] is a football tournament which traditionally features invited national teams composed of under-20 players,[2] although the first tournament in 1967 featured club teams.[2] It has been limited to national teams since 1974.[2]
The tournament is held around the Region-du-Var, with the final being held in Toulon itself.[2] It is not run under the supervision of UEFA or an individual national association.[2]
The Toulon Tournament plays two 40-minute halves.
