Training Command[1] ([Команда за обуку / Komanda za obuku] Error: {{Lang-xx}}: text has italic markup (help)) was established on 23 April 2007, by merging parts of Operation Forces, Land Force and Air Force units. This merger created seven territorial centers for basic training and five centers for specialist training of the members of military arms, branches and services. The Commanding Officer of the Training Command is Major General Djokica Petrovic.

Tasks

  • Primary responsible for providing soldiers, non-commissioned officer and officers of SAF, as well the members of foreign armies basic and military specialist training.

Structure

The Training Command has under its command seven basic military training centers located all over Serbia, five specialist military training centers and one exercise range.

The each basic military training center is made from one command company and one training battalion, while Land Force Training Center is extended for company for training and development of land force non-commissioned officers. The Air Force and Air Defense Training Center consist from command, one air defense battery equipped with S-125 Neva-M surface-to-air missile system, one air defense self-propelled missile battery equipped with 2K12 Kub-M surface-to-air missile system, air defense missile-artillery battery of short range, air reconnaissance/intelligence and guidance (VOJIN) company, air force technical service company, company for training and development and section for control and evaluation of air defense missile-artillery shooting. Informatics, Signals and Electronic Warfare Training Center consist from command platoon, training center, development center, and logistic company, while the NBC Staff Development Center is made from command company and development company. Logistics Training Center consist from command company, company for training of intendant service, company for training of sanitation and veterinary service, company for training of technical service and battalion for training of traffic service.

There is also among all reserves under Serbian Training Command a 4 brigades in semi-reserve status(active reserve) with active HQ, command company and logistics company predicted for speedy deployment in case of need or war. This 4 brigades are preparing mobilization of war units, conducting training of war commands and units, conducting training of temporary units, securing objects, peoples and equipment and giving logistics support.
