CHART VIDEOS
[edit]My charts have videos! See them here: http://www.youtube.com/user/spadeds
I only do the special charts nowadays.
History
[edit]- 6/21/08 - Started the Countdown.
- 8/16/08 - Started to write down the Countdown results.
- 12/19/08 - Attempted to make a system for the end of the year Countdown, however it was a bad design.
- 1/3/09 - Started recording audio recaps.
- 1/3/09 - Added the Top 20 Spotlight.
- 4/18/09 - Started playing the videos of the actual Countdown.
- 6/18/09 - Tried a new system for the first End of the School Year Countdown. It actually worked and is still in use.
- 7/11/09 - First dual Top 20 Spotlight.
- 10/24/09 - Tried a new written setup.
- 12/31/09 - Re-used the system used for the End of the School Year Countdown for the Top 40 of 2009 Countdown. Once again, it worked.
- 1/2/10 - Changed the design on the written list and transitioned to the new written setup used on 10/24/09.
- 2/20/10 - Changed to Video Recaps.
- 4/24/10 - Removed the "one song only per artist" rule.
- 6/21/10 - Used a slightly edited version of the End of Year/School Year System for another End of School Year Countdown.
- 7/3/10 - Changed Countdown Notebooks.
- 8/7/10 - 20x20 Club rule changed. If a song is still in the Top 10 it will remain on the Countdown until it falls out of the Top 10.
- 9/18/10 - Added the "Triple Threat" Chart. The Triple Threat Chart is a chart that orders the song in which who has the highest chance of reaching the Top 3. Of course only songs that haven't yet reached the Top 3 can appear on the Triple Threat Chart.
- 10/2/10 - Expanded the Countdown to 30 Songs. The 20x20 Club rule changed. Now in order to be retired to the 20x20 club, a song will have to fall out of the Top 15.
- 12/1/10 - Added a new chart that depends on the number of plays and skips on the iTunes library to show which songs are currently hot and which ones are currently not.
- 12/2/10 - The 20x20 Club rule (if a song falls out of the Top 15 it will appear one last time and then drop out the following week) removed. If a song who has been on for 20 weeks or more falls out of the Top 15 it will just dropout without warning.
- 12/16/10 - Expanded the Play/Skip Chart to one month. Any results from 2010 were deleted and the chart will restart in 2011.
- 12/18/10 - Video recaps redesigned to include subtitles with stats, song info, and the number on the Countdown. This replaces the old design that used the Youtube annotations. New Countdown videos can be seen here: (Link to be added later)
- 1/1/11 - Redesigned the written list/design to make it easier to include #'s 21-30.
- 1/3/11 - The 20x20 Club rule changed. Now in order to be retired to the 20x20 club, a song will have to fall out of the Top 20. If it reaches 20 weeks while in #'s 30-21, it will not get entered/retired to the 20x20 Club.
- 1/4/11 - The 2008/2009/2010 20x20 Club setup has been changed. Since the retirement number was pushed back, the 20x20 club will be changed to only have 10 songs. The ten songs able to be in the 20x20 Club should have the highest weeks on the chart over the year. If any song falls off the 20x20 list, they will still be credited with entering the 20x20 Club even though they aren't a part of the Top 10.
- 2/15/11 - Edited the 20x20 Club back to its original design. To account for songs that reached longer chart runs, a new 30x30, 40x40 and Yearun Clubs have been made.
- 7/9/11 - Video problems (audio out of sync on Youtube) force me to make adjustments and perhaps add more "awards" and special weekly achievements (besides LEAP and Triple Threat).
- 7/14/11 - Added a new award, which is the Power Debut (The debut with the biggest potential).
- 1/28/12 - Removed the Power Debut.
- 2/4/12 - Removed the Top 20 Spotlight/Audio Spotlight.
- 9/1/12 - Added new rule that prevents songs that debut at #1 from getting the LEAP of the Week award.
- 10/13/12 - If two songs have the same number of spots leaped, and it is the biggest leap of that week, than the higher song earns the LEAP of the Week.
- 1/7/13 - Returned the 20x20 Club to its previous format.
- 1/19/13 - Returned to playing the videos after not doing so since September 11, 2010.
- 8/31/13 - Changed Countdown Notebooks
- 1/4/14 - Rebranded the Top 30 chart in the Apex Charts.
- 6/28/14 - Final Video Recap
- 1/3/15 - Removed LEAP of the Week, Apex Award, and the 20x20 Club
- 1/10/15 - Started a new setup where I listen to the Top 10 on iTunes and figure out the #1 from there.
- 12/15/15 - Completely redesigned the Year End Stats to remove unnecessary stats like the LEAP, Triple Threat, Extra Weeks at #1, and 20x20 Clubs. More stats involving plays on iTunes included.
- 1/7/17 - Changed Countdown Notebooks
- 1/21/17 - Starting incorporating Spotify into the weekly countdown.
- 12/10/17 - Removed the multiplier on one of the existing Year End Stats to include the Year End Spotify playlist into the statsheet.
- 12/13/20 - Altered the Chart Average Stat to account for songs under 2 months, which score a percentage of their average instead.
- 1/2/21 - Changed to the 5th Countdown Notebook.
