Nicolas Mezzalira is a professional storyteller and current director of the Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien. As a a guide to the legendary sites in Paimpont forest[1] he also frequently lectures on the Arthurian legends.

Biography

Mezzalira graduated from the Lycée Grand Air de La Baule with an Economics and Social Baccalaureate before completing a diploma at the Institute of Political Studies in Rennes. DEA in political sociology in 2001, his thesis was entitled les politiques publiques événementielles et les territoires de l'identité.

Mezzalira worked for many years in the field of international cultural cooperation as a French language teacher in the Dominican Republic and as Project Manager of the European project to safeguard and promote the spoken arts of Vanuatu and Oceania (where he collected stories and published several books and formed a group of young storytellers).

He directed the Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien from 2001 to 2002. Cultural and audiovisual representative of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Central America in 2005, Mezzalira became Cultural Attaché of the French Embassy in San José, Costa Rica, then Secretary General and Education Director of the French Institute of Frankfurt and Mainz, Germany in 2007.

In 2008, Mezzalira again became director of the Centre de l'Imaginaire Arthurien at the Chateau de Comper in 2008[2] and lectures particularly on this subject[3].
