Yeh Shuhua (Chinese: 葉舒華, Korean: 예슈화; born January 6, 2000),[3] better known mononymously as Shuhua (Korean: 슈화), is a Taiwanese singer. She is the youngest member of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle under Cube Entertainment.[4]

Early life

Yeh was born on January 6, 2000 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. She attended Taipei Hwa Kang Arts School.

Career

2016–2017: Pre-debut activities

In 2016, Yeh became a Cube Entertainment trainee after auditioning in Cube Star World Audition in Taiwan with freestyle dancing and singing.[5]

In June 2017, Yeh participated in a promotional video for Rising Star Cosmetics along with Yuqi and Minnie, future members of (G)I-dle.[6]

In September 2017, Yeh appeared alongside Yoo Seon-Ho in 10cm's "Pet" music video.[7]

In October 2017, Yeh appeared in Rising Legends CUBE x SOOMPI Promotional Video and has been featured in music videos.[8]

2018–present: (G)I-dle and solo activities

In 2018, Yeh was revealed as one of the members of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle[9] which debuted with the group on May 2, 2018,[10] following the release of the group's debut mini-album, I Am and it's lead single "Latata".[11][12] (G)I-dle made their debut stage performance on Mnet's M Countdown.[13]

On February 5, 2019, Yeh participated in rhythmic gymnastics and earned a bronze medal in the Idol Star Athletics Championships.[14]

In 2020, Yeh participated in Idol Star Dog-Agility Championships along with her dog, Haku. They won the Idol Dog Championships Silver Medal.[15]

In January 2020, Yeh, along with 2 other group members, participated in the show Knowing Bros.[16]

In December 2020, Yeh collaborated with Iz*One's Won-young, Oh My Girl's Arin and Itzy's Yuna to perform "I Don't Know" by Apink at the 2020 KBS Song Festival.[17][18]

On April 12, 2021, it was announced that Yeh and her groupmate Yuqi has signed with T. Entertainment (Chinese: 一起娱乐) for their Chinese activities.[19][20]

On May 12, 2021, Shuhua participated in a popular Taiwanese reality show, Mr. Player [zh].[21]
