Thanks for uploading Image:223182.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Tagging of screen captures[edit]

Screen captures from TV shows can't be released under the GNU Free Documentation License, since the shows they come from are copyrighted. In order to be kept, the images will need to be retagged as Fair Use and a fair use rationale provided. —Celithemis 00:40, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please delete all your copyrighted images from your userpage. I have no time doing it now, but someone else should. Although you have a nice userpage and I also love Simpsons. NorwegianMarcus 17:25, 11 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:Futurama-title.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Futurama-title.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Please stop mislabelling images[edit]

I see that you've uploaded another copyrighted image (of Spongebob Squarepants) under a GNU Free Documentation License, listing yourself as the author. Both Geni and I have left you messages about this problem in the past -- did we not explain well enough? The material you're uploading is copyrighted art, and the characters are probably trademarked; even if you took a screen capture yourself, you cannot claim to be the author or release it under a free license.

Please read Wikipedia's Wikipedia:Fair Use guidelines. Then please go back through the images you've uploaded, tag them correctly, and add fair use rationales.

Please respond as soon as you see this message to let me know that you are going to do this, so that I know I don't need to take further action. —Celithemis 22:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:B000F9T6Z6.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:B000F9T6Z6.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Mr WR 14:28, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with your images[edit]

I'm sorry to see that you have not responded to messages about the license tags on your images, and have even continued to upload other people's images as GFDL. Since you don't seem willing to deal with this, I've struck out GFDL tags on the following images and tagged them as having no license:

Futurama images:

Other TV and film images:

Miscellaneous:

Unless the images are correctly tagged within 7 days, they will be deleted.

As I've mentioned before, some of the TV/film images may be OK to use in Wikipedia articles as fair use. You would need to make sure that the use of the images meets the criteria in Wikipedia:Fair Use, apply the appropriate Fair Use tag, and add Fair Use rationales.

Please do NOT put GFDL tags back on these images or upload any more images that you don't own as GFDL. If you do, I will request that you be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Celithemis 09:52, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Your userpage appearing in a category[edit]

Hey, just here to tell you that your userpage for some reason appears in Category:Lists of science fiction television series episodes. I'd thought it was probably a mistake. But when i tried to edit your userpage, i couldn't find the category link.

So in other words, i have no idea why your userpage is appearing there.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Futuramalogo.JPG)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Futuramalogo.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. AfD Nomination: ElWiki[edit]

An editor has nominated the article ElWiki for deletion, under the Articles for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination (also see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ElWiki. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article ElWiki during the discussion, but do not remove the "Articles for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the article), this will not end the deletion debate. Jayden54Bot 22:52, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

ElWiki, has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain web site, blog, forum, or other community of web users that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Commercial use of Image:Tornado miami.jpg[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Tornado miami.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Tornado miami.jpg is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Image:Tornado miami.jpg, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Unspecified source for Image:Farnsworth.png[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Farnsworth.png. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Fair use rationale for Image:Bafflermeal10.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bafflermeal10.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. cholmes75 (chit chat) 21:27, 22 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use disputed for Image:Old tv.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Old tv.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:32, 13 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:El Chupanibre.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:El Chupanibre.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:14, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on User:The Moneycruncher/Sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Joe Chill (talk) 23:50, 13 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Planet Express Ship Modification 1.jpg[edit]

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
