We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted.

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Iron Order Motorcycle Club 2

Hello, my article has been denied due to lack of sources. Unfortunately there are not that many sources out there with information on the Iron Order. What can be done on my end to get this article published?

Hello, unfortunately without sources we can't verify the content and determine notability. Per Wikipedia policies (WP:N and WP:V) Information on Wikipedia must be verifiable; if no reliable third-party sources can be found on a topic, then it should not have a separate article. Per your own admission there's not that many sources for the subject, so it's very unlikely that this article will be promoted to mainspace. But if you're willing to put in the effort the following issues need to be addressed
  1. The article must be cited and referenced similar to other clubs of note in List of motorcycle clubs
  2. The article must have a demonstration of notability similar to the other clubs (What makes this one special that it deserves a article?"
  3. The article must have the majority of it's references be from independent reliable sources that have a history of editorial oversight.
If all of these things pass, then there is a chance that the article can be improved. Furthermore I see that this IP address has only interacted once in relation to Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Iron Order Motorcycle Club 2, whereas User:Mongo0915 has done significant work on the article. If you are one in the same please edit while logged in. Editing as an IP address while also retaining a user name is considered poor form (Per WP:LOGGEDOUT) and could lay the groundwork for a question of sock-puppetry.
I will not ask you to confirm the assiciation between this IP address and the user, however it would be wise to verify that you are logged in prior to saving. Hasteur (talk) 19:25, 25 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Irregular warfare may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "[]"s and 1 "{}"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Information icon Hello. Your recent edit to Lincoln Heights, Ohio appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person or organization added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to 75th Ranger Regiment (United States), it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. - wolf 21:31, 29 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
