Welcome!

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.

Here are some links to pages you may find useful:

You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:

If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (2600:387:9:5:0:0:0:73) is used to identify you instead.

I hope that you, as a new Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Snowflake, you may be blocked from editing. WNYY98 (talk) 22:33, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Snowflake (disambiguation).
Your edits have been automatically marked as vandalism and have been automatically reverted. The following is the log entry regarding this vandalism: Snowflake (disambiguation) was changed by 2600:387:9:5:0:0:0:73 (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.920015 on 2017-01-30T22:34:46+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 22:34, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Parts of these edits seem well-intentioned but please understand that Wikipedia is not a dictionary and that the article snowflake is about literal snowflakes, not metaphorical ones, so this isn't the place to discuss the alternative meaning of the word in detail. Shostakovich Edit

[edit]

Hi!

I saw that you recently edited the article for Dmitri Shostakovich, and added the bold portion: "Shostakovich achieved fame in the Soviet Union under the patronage of Soviet chief of staff Mikhail Tukhachevsky, but later had a complex and difficult relationship with the government, after it came to light that he would frequently fly to America for brief periods of time between 1966 and 1970. They believed him to be conspiring with the Americans." While it is always good to be bold and try to improve an article, this was not sourced or followed up later in the article, and I couldn't find any sources after a quick search. I am reverting this edit, but if you find a reliable source, please feel free to add it and reinstate the edit.
