This was done because the article was about a real person or group of people, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or an organized event, but did not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. I undid your edit to Manu Smriti as it appeared to contain wp:original research. Wikipedia is not the place for original content. Anything significant added to Wikipedia should be specifically stated in wp:reliable sources which should be wp:inline cited. Combining multiple sources to generate information is called synthesis and should also be avoided. i.e. A says X is wonderful, B says X is wonderful, C says X is wonderful. synth: X is wonderful.
