B1192

Hi, Adam. I noticed that you undid my revision to the B1192 entry at the B roads in Zone 1 of the Great Britain numbering scheme page.

Essentially, my amendment concerned the southern end-point of this road. According to all the sources I have been able to consult (lincolnshire.gov.uk, magic.gov.uk, Ordnance Survey maps, among others), the B1192 terminates at its junction with the B1397 in Kirton, at Grid Reference TF305385 (Willington Road B1192 / London Road B1397 / High Street B1397). The road -- Station Road (west) -- which connects the High Street to the A16 roundabout mentioned in your original entry is a branch of the B1397 according to all those sources. -- Picapica (talk) 13:39, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

B100 road

Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article B100 road, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? QuiteUnusual (talk) 16:56, 11 October 2008 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Winchester bus route 5 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Removing Speedy at Winchester bus route 5

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Winchester bus route 5. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 09:54, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Winchester bus route 5. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 10:02, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Your recent edits

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 10:14, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Hi there, looks like it's been sorted out now. But in future, even if the article shouldn't be deleted (as in this case), please leave the speedy tag on the page and place a hangon next to it. Cheers - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:19, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

First of all you need to find a reliable, published source. For help on what this is see WP:SOURCE, and for help adding it to the article see Wikipedia:Citing sources. - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:25, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

See Template:Infobox Bus Route, the Template documentation and usage should help you - Kingpin13 (talk) 14:06, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Oh right, sorry, misread that - Kingpin13 (talk) 15:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

MMM, Winchester, Massachusetts is one town over from me and this doesn't sound at all familiar. Which Winchester are you talking about? Please mention it in the article. Postcard Cathy (talk) 18:01, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

I see that you have now removed the section. If you like, I can re-add it with it "the right way round". Let me know - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:08, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Ah yes, I meant to tell you about that, at the end of your table you need to place |} to "stop" the table. You can see the changes I made here - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:31, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Yes, there's a very good way of doing this: When you first use the ref that you want to use ore then once, use the text "<ref name="name">url, ref detail etc</ref>", and when you want to use that same reference, you just say "<ref name="name"/>". Hope that makes sense - Kingpin13 (talk) 18:53, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Instead of using <ref>address</ref>, use <ref name="name">address</ref>", - Kingpin13 (talk) 19:16, 3 June 2009 (UTC)
Done, what you were missing was the quotation marks around the name of the reference. - Kingpin13 (talk) 21:56, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Whoa.

Calm down. It seems like it's been sorted out. --Abce2|AccessDenied 11:47, 3 June 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:

"I don't put any disruptive editing or edit warring, I think it must be a mistake. Please unblock me."

Decline reason:

You removed the speedy deletion tag four times, despite warnings. See here. This is classified as disruptive, and the speedy deletion templates makes it very clear that you may not remove speedy tags from articles you create. PeterSymonds (talk) 16:34, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Request reason:

I am only 11 years old, and this is one of my first pages, and I don't know the standards of Wikipedia. I was deleting the speedy deleting tags, because I didn't want my page to be deleted. I like writing about buses, because that is what I am interested in. Please consider that when reviewing my blockage.

Decline reason:

While I'm going to try and assume good faith here, you show no signs of actually understanding why you are blocked. Your excuse that "I didn't want my page to be deleted" is not a valid excuse to disobey policy Smashvilletalk 14:32, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

I've been asked by this editor (through email) to comment on this. I've suggested that they wait out the block, but they would still prefer if I comment, so here goes: I've explained to them about edit warring (something they claimed not to understand, and asked for me to). I doubt they plan to edit war again, so this block is slightly punitive, especially considering that the edit warring is not current, and hadn't been explained properly. And their edits are clearly in good faith. Also, removing the speedy deletion was deemed to be correct by SoWhy, and removing the prod was actually correct, as it shouldn't have been re-added, although admittedly he, being the creator, shouldn't have done that themselves. I'm not "taking sides" on this, and half think that the user should wait the 24 hours, but I hope that provides a bit of a different take. - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:38, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

It wasn't deemed correct by SoWhy. One may not remove speedy tags from pages they created. The block was proper. Enigmamsg 19:19, 4 June 2009 (UTC)

Colours

Hi there, a simply way to get other colours is using <font color=#009900>green text here</font> which gives you green text here. You're probably wondering what the numbers "009900" mean. You give it how much red, green and blue you want, and the way that works is RGB. So if you want a lot of blue, you say 000099 , alot of red, you say 990000, a lot of green and you say what I did before. if you want a mixture of red and green, you'd say 990099. Basically the first two numbers are the amount of red, the two after that are the amount of green, and the two after that the amount of blue: 208923. Hope that makes sense - Kingpin13 (talk) 08:14, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Yellow is FFFF00, so <font color=#FFFF00>this is yellow</font> gives this is yellow. A nice site which'll give you some of the colours and RGB codes is www.keller.com - Kingpin13 (talk) 11:59, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
I think you can just add style="background:backcolour; color:textcolour" and replace the "backcolour" and "textcolour" with the names of the colours you want to use (e.g. "red" and "black"). Add that after class="wikitable" width=##%, fr an end result of something like: class="wikitable" width=100% style="background:red; color:black". Hope that makes sense, - Kingpin13 (talk) 15:14, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Sure you can, just before the text of the box you want to have the backcolour, place
|style="background:red; color:black" | text of box here
- Kingpin13 (talk) 15:23, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Maybe I didn't make it clear enough to read. Here's some of your table, with the text that you should add to make Harestock's box have a red background:

| width=20% | '''Via'''
| width=15% | '''Operator'''
|-
|'''<font color=#FF0000>[[Winchester bus route 1|1]]</font>'''
|style="background:red; color:black" | Harestock
|Stanmore
|Winchester Bus Station

If that doesn't make sense either, you could replace it in the article and then select "Show changes" to see what is different- Kingpin13 (talk) 15:36, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Well if you are using the RGB codes in the background colour you may find that doesn't work, I think you need to actually name it (e.g. say "blue"). - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:29, 8 June 2009 (UTC)
Oh right, good catch - Kingpin13 (talk) 17:40, 8 June 2009 (UTC)

Bus routes in Eastleigh and Romsey

Hi there. I've noticed you've been undoing several of my constructive additions to the article you started on bus routes in Eastleigh and proximity. You should know that wikipedia is open for anybody to edit and change, and that it is improper behavior to claim an article as only your own.

I feel you may think the tags I'm adding to your article will make it more prone to deletion or other such things. On the contrary, it will bring in editors who specialize in making lists and tables look proper according to the manual of style (Which you should read to better understand the edits that I made), and will help to improve the article and connect it with other articles in the encyclopedia (That article is only linked from and to one or two other articles). Please do not remove the tag templates unless it is obviously justified without giving some reasoning at the article's talk page.

Again, I am not trying to strip your article of content, I'm trying to make it more understandable to the average reader. Say myself, who lives in Toronto, Canada, and had no idea where Eastleigh, Hedge End, and Romsey were. I had to make Eastleigh into a link and hope that there were no other towns with that name. I assume it is the eastleigh that is one of the small towns bridging Winchester and Southampton in Hampshire, England.

Cheers, ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 23:19, 4 July 2009 (UTC)

I see you're already trying to get the hang of it :) Might I suggest that instead of linking all the items in the table (Which a lot of things appear more than once, such as the operators, and Eastleigh Bus station for example), that you mention some of the items in the intro, and link from there. For example:
These are lists of the bus routes through Romsey, Eastleigh & Hedge End, Hampshire, England. Like many other inter-town bus networks throughout england, it is run by a fleet of (make/model) buses operated by Bluestar, (etc list of the companies).
You might also look into how long bus service has operated in Eastleight/Romsey and mention that.
And if you're really feeling brave, you could make a template to link together all your bus network lists! -- ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 17:00, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
The page I linked (Help:Template) has plenty of information. I have no idea how to work with templates myself and would not be the person to ask for directions (Unless of course you like ugly things, in which case I would be a good person to ask :p ) -- ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 17:50, 5 July 2009 (UTC)

Thomas Mills High School

Hi,

Can I suggest you take a look at the article guidelines for writing about schools, especially the what not to include section. There are lots of really good schools articles - check the links in the infobox at the foot of the Thomas Mills page and you'll find some which are at least OK and should give you some ideas about what to include. Feel free to ask for specific guidance - we'd be aiming for some verifiable third party sources ideally as well. Blue Square Thing (talk) 18:36, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Hi Adam, a couple of days ago you tagged List of bus routes in Stowmarket and Needham Market with an Articles for Deletion tag; however, you did not create a deletion discussion, and the tag you placed was for a second AfD discussion even though there had been no previous discussion, so it wasn't clear if you really intended to tag the article or if it was just a test. If you did intend to tag it for deletion, please make sure that you create a deletion discussion - follow the instructions here. Note that the article's talk page can't be used for this kind of deletion discusson. Not necessarily: but you are making an awful lot of small edits to this page (and others over the last week or so), and if you look at the page history, you'll see that you have made almost 180 edits to this one article in just five days. This clogs up watchlists, recent changes and the like, as described above. Also, please use the Edit summary feature. --Redrose64 (talk) 20:13, 31 March 2011 (UTC)
Many of these small edits are where I realised I have missed out something or put incorrect info for the route. Problems with upload of File:Colchester Bus route 1.PNG

Thanks for uploading File:Colchester Bus route 1.PNG. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:06, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Adam. You removed the deletion notice without actually fixing the problem. You must add a copyright tag to the image but all you added was a statement that it was for use on Wikipedia with an author name which is not you. Does that mean only on Wikipedia, public domain or one of the Creative Commons freely licenced tags? If it is "Wikipedia only," that is an incompatible licence we don't accept. Secondly the image is not your, so you need to get the copyright holder to email us their permission per WP:CONSENT. You will find it useful to read my image copyright information page but as it stands that image will be nominated for deletion as having no valid copyright licence. Good luck. ww2censor (talk) 23:38, 13 April 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for uploading File:Colchester Bus route 1.PNG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. ww2censor (talk) 04:29, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

Some important advice regarding privacy and omnibuses

  1. Read Wikipedia:Guidance for younger editors.
  2. Consider removing some information from your user page based on what it says at the top of that essay. (I suggest doing this first and then going back and reading the rest of the essay.)
  3. Keep a copy of the various bus route articles that are AfD'd, or ask for a copy to be userfied if they are deleted. I might be able to find some additional sources that would assist in establishing notability (but I'm a bit busy right now so it's very uncertain whether I'd find time to do so before the AfD closes.) --Demiurge1000 (talk) 09:41, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

A way forward for you

Admitting your mistake and apologising was the right thing to do. I thank you for it and accept your apology. It is up to the admins to determine whether your sockpuppet actions warrant a ban, but I would like to suggest an approach that I believe will make you a better Wikipedia editor - after all you have years ahead of you. There are contributors on WIkipedia who are very happy to mentor younger editors like yourself. One example is User:Worm That Turned, who runs an Adoption School. Why don't you take a look at his page and get in contact if you feel it would be of use to you? --Simple Bob a.k.a. The Spaminator (Talk) 09:49, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Thanks for that. If something similar would ever happen (I will do my absolute best to avoid that, but we do get really angry sometimes), please talk to me first, before suspecting a sockpuppet. As for the mentoring I asked User:Worm That Turned if he would adopt me. Thanks for accepting the apology. As for the Colchester page, please let me do the makeover, before we reach a consensus (if it was delete). Me and Stuart (which I think you met at the Charlesdrakew case), agreed that some of my pages will be userfied, until I do the makeover. Once again sorry and thanks and I hope we don't have to fight anymore. '''Adam mugliston''' (talk) 09:58, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
I'm in demand, hard to believe! Without a doubt, I'd be happy to adopt/mentor your. As Simple Bob mentioned, I've made an adoption school, where we can have a chat about bits and bobs, and make sure you're up to scratch with what I believe are the most important wikipedia policies. Otherwise, I'll hang around and be there for questions and the like. I'll set you up with a page now :) WormTT · (talk) 10:01, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
Hi Adam. I've created your page at User:Worm That Turned/Adopt/Adam mugliston, why don't you mosey on over and have a nosey :) The page also has a talk page associated with it User Talk:Worm That Turned/Adopt/Adam mugliston where I will be asking you a few questions. Suffolk bus routes

Hey Adam mugliston - would you care to help me complete User:Rcsprinter123/List of bus routes in Suffolk? We can transfer it to main article space. RcsprinterGimme a message 10:06, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

I was going to suggest you two work together on bus stuff, I'm glad Rcsprinter123 beat me to the punch. I'll keep an eye on it too if you like, but I'm not nearly as interested in buses as either of you, so I'll let you both do the legwork. :D WormTT · (talk) 11:06, 20 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, I'm working along Template:Bus routes in England, so... Maybe we could just insert the routes from existing town bus route lists in Suffolk. RcsprinterGimme a message 16:50, 20 April 2011 (UTC)

Signature

Hi Adam. In light of this, I've been thinking about your signature. I know that you intend the brightness, but if it is too distracting it becomes disruptive. Signatures are supposed be helpful, not disruptive. To tone it down, would you consider

as an alternative? Specifically, I've made it smaller, and used less colour - meaning it is less likely to cause issue. WormTT · (talk) 11:40, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi Worm. I will consider, but only if I get another complaint. User:Charlesdrakew has been interrfeering with EVERY SINGLE THING I do/make and I honestly have enough of him. Every page I created he supports its deletion. When my IP has been accidentaly nominated for block he supports it, he always makes bad comments to everything of mine.  Adam mugliston  Talk  11:43, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
Well, I've got a couple of points there. Firstly, do try and remember to assume good faith - I'm sure Charles is trying to improve the encyclopedia. And I'm glad you'll consider changing it if you get another complaint. In the mean time, would at least consider adding the <small> tags to your current signature? it is fairly imposing as it stands, and I think that shrinking it will help. WormTT · (talk) 11:53, 21 April 2011 (UTC)
One problem. There's not enough space in the box. Otherwise I would. I'll do it manually here.  Adam mugliston  Talk  12:20, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

userbox mania

I had an idea for a userbox that might be suitable for you and Rcsprinter123, and User:Adwiii kindly created it.

This user may or may not be the man on the Clapham omnibus, but is very interested in buses

If you use it on your userpage, you could also consider giving him some free advertising with:

This user asks Adwiii whenever he wants a random custom userbox created; and so should you!.

If you want the bus one altered or a different one created, I'm sure he'd be happy to do that too. --Demiurge1000 (talk) 15:56, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Hampshire

I see you've created a List of bus routes in Hampshire page, with only the template on it. What was the point? RcsprinterGimme a message 12:55, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on List of bus routes in Hampshire requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Stuart.Jamieson (talk) 15:16, 23 April 2011 (UTC)

Color UBXs

Hey Adam, I noticed you have a few color UBXs and I noticed that they are not taking advantage of the parameters possible for a template sucha s a UBX. Bus route UBX

Hows this,

This user thinks that London's bus route #18 is the best.

{{User:Adwiii/UBX/busroute}}

This user thinks that London's bus route #12 is the best.

Right now routes 12, 33, 337, 493, 190, 112, 143, (326 A), 394, (7 A), 171, (59 A), (68 A), 211, 36, 436, 360, 316, 19, 303, 204, 21, 141, 111, H32, 110, H98, 70, 162, 163, 93, ELS, H12, 376, 58, 297, 182, 15, 333, 57, 296, 394, R68, C1, 95, 177, 291, 386, 96, G1, and 18 work
This is as many as I know that work there may be others that work but I do not know. Sorry for the spotty coverage of routes, but that is the best I can do given UBX parameter options. Hope you like it,  Adwiii  Talk  02:40, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

AIV report

I'm not sure if you were aware of this, but blocked IP editors typically can still edit the contents of their own Talk page, unless an admin disables their ability to do so. The latter may happen in cases of egregious behavior such as grossly insulting, degrading or offensive text left on the Talk page. It's up to the admin to make the determination, although non-admins can request such from admins. Cheers, --Alan the Roving Ambassador (talk) 15:08, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Vandalism

Hi Adam. Can you hold up on your anti-vandalism work? Some of them aren't quite up to scratch. I'm going to have a look into what you've done and we can have a chat about any possible issue, then hopefully you can start up again :) WormTT · (talk) 09:33, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Right. So, looking at it, you've made 16 good anti-vandalism edits (along with 2 that I wouldn't but I won't disagree with), well done. However, you should know that there are a few issues.
  • You're reporting to AIV straight after final warnings/only warnings - that shouldn't be done unless a user has vandalised after the warning.
  • [1] This edit you reverted as a "good faith edit", but used the edit summary rvv. Rvv means ReVert Vandalism, though the edit wasn't vandalism. If you're reverting a good faith edit, please put a note about why you're reverting in the edit summary box. ("rvgf" is not sufficient either, explain why you are reverting, and get ready to WP:BRD)
  • [2] I'm not sure why you reverted this at all. you gave no reason except "revert good faith". Generally, reverting talk pages is a no-no, there's no good reason for it.
  • [3] is a test edit, not vandalism. You've no reason to think it was intentional, remember to assume good faith. (especially as you went on to report them to AIV!)
  • [4] This wasn't even close to vandalism - it was good faith and right!
  • [5] why are you warning people when you haven't done a revert?
  • [6] "link vandalism"? really? why?
  • [7] good faith edit - not vandalism.
  • [8] What? That's good!
  • [9] - good faith addition. quick check on IMDb confirms he was in "The Mack".
Now, mislabeling edits as vandalism is a very bad thing to do, as it drives of new editors (WP:BITE), and will likely get you into a lot of difficulty. Basically, if there is any doubt over whether the edit is vandalism or not, don't label it as vandalism. Remember what I said - it has to be intentionally harming the encyclopedia. Assume good faith unless it's imposssible. WormTT · (talk) 10:08, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
Right, well I didn't realise I had t give a reason for reverting anything, so sorry about that.
  • In most cases, when I have issued a level 4 warning and then reported to AIV, was when that user has already vandalised several times after level 4 warnings, not necesarily my one.
  • The talk page one was an accident, I didn't realise it was a talk page and reverted my edit (I think I did or at least I meant to but got distracted)
  • Some of the good ones, either seemed sort of weird (like the Blakplotation Film) or with the math one, I thought it didn't really fit in to the rest.
  • Test edit ones, is there a ntification template saying something about them?
Sorry about that, I was trying to do my best and I think I may have got carried away a bit. I'll make sure I only revert what I'm sure is vandalism, but I have one question: How to tell a test edit from vandalism if it doesn't make sense (e.g. random letters)?

Adam mugliston  Talk  16:31, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

It's ok, I should have been more clear in the first place. Vandalism is a loaded word on Wikipedia, effectively you are comparing those good faith edits to that of someone who says "I liek Dickkkkkk LOLOLOL". It's quite rude when you think about it. I'm not saying that the edits shouldn't have all been reverted, just not as vandalism. As long as it doesn't happen in future, I'm sure it'll be no big deal.
As to your question, if it doesn't make sense, undo it - it could well be a test edit. A test edit becomes vandalism when they keep doing them, and it's clear they're just trying to muck up things.
I'll post your next lesson tomorrow, then you'll be ready for your final test :D WormTT · (talk) 19:57, 27 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello Adam mugliston. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of List of Canada: Active Rock number-one singles, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: If the chart itself is notable enough for its won article, then the number ones on that chart, or part thereof, must be notable enough too sufficient for A7. Take to AfD if required. . Thank you. GedUK  20:52, 28 April 2011 (UTC)

monetary socialism

Hello,

I have seen you reverted my answer to money socialism question on talk:socialism page with no reason I can understand. I know that socialism is a disputed article. I am pretty sure that words (for instance socialism) does not have the same meaning depending of the country and the Value system: I will not develop this here because it is yet vaguely explained in the socialism page. I just tried to give my answer of the moment to the question about monetary socialism, on the Talk:Socialism page.

You have chosen to consider my answer as not being good faith. In fact, I was probably wrong when I believed monetary socialism was invented by the tea party, but one fact is those two words are used together in blogs and political debates (about 1000 occurrences in google). For instance, the Czech EU Council President Václav Klaus consider creating realistic parities constitutes monetary socialism according to the Goethe institut [10]. A second fact is that monetary socialism is not defined anywhere. If it is defined somewhere, please, give a reference.

Now my answer was confused by a third fact which is socialism label seams to be widely used in united states in 2009. This label was used neither to criticize capitalism nor to refer to a concrete socialist movement, but to caricature the democrats and the society. That 's probably why the New York Times asked some people Katrina vanden Heuvel, editor, The Nation; Patrick Allitt, professor of American history; Steven F. Hayward, scholar, American Enterprise Institute; Andrew Hartman, historian; Terence Ball, political scientist; Charles Dunn, professor of government; Matthew Dallek, historian; Jefferson Cowie and Nick Salvatore, Cornell University [11] «What does the word mean today, nearly 20 years after the fall of the Berlin Wall? What role has the label played in American political history?»

From those various answers exposing different views of what socialism is, I note that “socialism” is used as a devil word to critic the Obhama administration or Franklin Roosevelt; and «“Socialism” as a stand-in for modern threats, from feminism to federal health care.». This has few in common neither with a concrete political US movement of this name nor to «a theory or policy of social organisation which aims at or advocates the ownership and control of the means of production». It looks more related to Economic interventionism or Welfare state, but socialist label is probably shorter and more pejorative from a US tax payer lobby perspective.

In my personal opinion, because politics are driven by cultural and historical perspective, which are mainly nation specific, this kind of socialism label might be documented by a word or an article, to clarify what this label refer to from an united-states perspective and in 2009. If an article can be written on this thematic, there is yet a Barack Obama "Joker" poster to illustrate such an article. It will then be possible to redirect from socialism disambiguition page.

And then, the question was: what is monetary socialism? Is it some concrete theory when pronounced by the EU Council President Václav Klaus graduated from the University of Economics and postgraduate academic career at the (state) Institute of Economics of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, or is it just a devil word pronounced by Václav Klaus the eurosceptic called "the Margaret Thatcher of Central Europe"? If you have the answer, you're welcome.

And last but not least, considering not good faith what somebody write simply because it is unclear, because we disagree, or for whatever reason is not a good way to make people agree. Removing some writings might also be considered as unfair by the author of the removed content when this author will not understand if its article was removed because of the word tea party, because of the label socialism, or because of the proposition of a new page, or all together. IMHO Wikipedia need consensus, and discussion might be useful to go this way.77.193.109.225 (talk) 07:41, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
