Hi Friends!!! This is Adi21124 (talk2me and welcome to my talk page.

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Pallavi Subhash Chandran, did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted (undone) by ClueBot NG.

Re: Read this

[edit]

Re your message: The article on Shilpa Shinde was deleted back in 2008 because it did not establish why she is notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. The article content was very minimal, containing only a vague line that she is "Gujarati, Tamil, or Marathi" (which was also misspelled) and that apparently she appeared in two television shows. You are welcome to create a new article about her. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 15:46, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: help me

[edit]

Re your message: You can remove messages on your talk page by editing the page like any other page on Wikipedia. Archiving is preferred, but if you want to just delete old messages, you can do so. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 06:41, 22 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Spears

[edit]

Yes, I am! I think her music is awesome, and I really like to contribute to coverage on Wikipedia. You're new here, right? Can I give you some advices on how to edit articles and stuff? - Sauloviegas (talk) 12:50, 23 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

:) These are the simple things that you must know: you must sign your comments everytime by typing four tildes ( ~ ~ ~ ~ ) at the end. Also, if you're going to upload a sample, make sure is passes WP:SAMPLE. Also, to add information to articles, you must add references. You can use Template:citeweb or Template:citejournal for them. And they must be reliable. Sources that are reliable: mtv.com, billboard.com, nytimes.com, etc. Not reliable: YouTube or any video sharing website, forums / boards, download links, fan sites, social networks (twitter, facebook, orkut, etc...). Hope these little things help you on editing! By the way, what country are you from? - Sauloviegas (talk) 12:16, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Rude Boy

[edit]

It's an amazing song, isn't it? One of Rihanna's best, I think. However audio samples on Wikipedia are only used to demonstrate and explain ideas discussed in the text. As songs are copyrighted, their use must meet WP:NFCC. WP:SAMPLE gives a more specific outline on audio samples. Happy editing! Adabow (talk · contribs) 08:58, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 09:27, 24 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: back again

[edit]

Re your message: You can read about how to upload and use files through the help document at Help:Contents/Images and media. Wikipedia's extensive Help section should be able to assist you in most questions that you have about how to use and edit on Wikipedia. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 17:39, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello!

Great! I always enjoy meeting a fan of Shakira. I have loved her since Hips Don't Lie, but only because I hadn't really heard of her before that. Personally, I think Objection (Tango) is better than Whenever, but both are some of my favorite songs ever. --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 20:41, 4 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hips Don't Lie is magic! --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 20:31, 10 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, of course! It is my favorite Shakira song by far! The latin pop style, seductive lyrics, and the excellent production (from the trumpets to the pumping bass) is almost too much that I can't help but dance to it whenever you hear it. Of course, it can only get better by adding Wyclef to the mix, which elevates the song to an almost completely blissful, sexy latin number. That is why I love Hips Don't Lie. --ĈÞЯİŒ 1ооо 23:31, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is called an unsourced addition. Wikipedia articles should have sources backing up your addition. I would suggest you to go through WP:RS and WP:SOURCES. — Legolas (talk2me) 16:15, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yes I am Indian, you can find about me in my user page. As for the above message, Wikipedia has a policy that whenever you add something to an article you have to cite from where you got it from, else it will be removed. — Legolas (talk2me) 13:41, 19 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help pls

[edit]

Re your message: You can use the {{Userboxtop}} and {{Userboxbottom}} templates to stack userboxes into a column. See the documentation on {{Userboxtop}}. There is also {{Userboxside}} that you can use. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 15:38, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: You're welcome. I'm glad to be of help. As for your question, well, I generally do not answer personal questions like that. Sorry, it is just something I prefer to keep to myself. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:22, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced edits

[edit]

I see above that the issue of unsourced edits was already explained to you, so it would be appreciated if you don't add unsourced information, such as this. --Muhandes (talk) 16:18, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

And again, you added the same material without a source. You seem like someone who wants to learn, are you trying to get yourself banned? WP:CITE is the place to learn how to cite a source. If you find it difficult, add the source at the talk page, and some other editor will add it. But don't add unsourced information anywhere, and especially not personal information in a biography of a leaving person. --Muhandes (talk) 10:00, 17 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What? — Legolas (talk2me) 09:36, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Adi, no I'm not angry. Its nice that you asked me about tips for your homework, but alas, I'm much too old to even remember that stuff. Have you tried the article on Mathematics and Science in Wikipedia or Google? You can also ask User:Jivesh boodhun. He's more of your age I guess and will be able to help you more in this case. — Legolas (talk2me) 10:28, 19 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Help Again !!!!

[edit]

Re your message: Are you trying to add in lyrics to a song's article? Perhaps Amplifier (song)? I noticed you added an external link to a site with the lyrics (I removed it as such a link is inappropriate). If you are asking about how to add in the lyrics to Amplifier (song), then doing so would not be appropriate as lyrics are usually copyrighted and can not be posted on Wikipedia. See WP:SONG#LYRICS for details. By the way, you left me the comment while you were logged out of your account. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:12, 27 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re your message: It would probably be best if you did not upload either a sample of the song or screenshot of the video as both would be copyright violations and unlikely to fall under fair use provisions. Therefore, they should not be used in the article.
I do not know what you received those errors. Without knowing how you took the screen shot or the sample, I can not help you. I would recommend asking the Help Desk for assistance. However, like I said, you probably should not upload either the song sample or the screen shot.
By the way, this is the second message that you have left me where you have been logged out of your account when you left the message. You exposed your IP address when you did so. Please make sure that you are logged in when you left me further messages. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 23:45, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Re your message: You were logged in this last time. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 19:02, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Angela!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you!
