I am the one who did the Stockton California page. It does have the worst crime rate in California, but I will admit I did not quite show maturity is explaining that point. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.181.77.43 (talk) 04:32, 5 January 2009 (UTC)
Super Bowl XXXVIII halftime show controversy
As a general warning, the FAC process can be unbelievably hard, and criticism of the article's failings can often leave the nominator discouraged-I speak from personal experience. It probably would have been better to nominate the article for GA first, followed by a WP:PR by a willing Featured Article reviewer first. And I'm not saying its a bad article, but the FAC review will bring to light, without a doubt, every flaw it possesses. I'll keep watch during the review to see if I can help at all. Sources to consider on Jackson and Timberlake
- I'll second the comments above. I just dropped by to tell you to not get discouraged. I've written a lot of college football GAs and FAs, and rest assured -- you do get the knack of it eventually. Just take the comments in stride, fix the problems that were addressed, then go back for more. There's no limit to the number of times you can submit an article, and there's no hurry to do so. Good luck! JKBrooks85 (talk) 11:14, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- Agree, although I opposed your nomination I happen to like you very much as an editor, please don't give up on the article, I look forward to supporting it in the future. Please consider taking it to WP:GA first, a very rewarding process in it's own right. Please contact WP:JANET, I'm sure others could help you. Best. — Realist2 01:21, 22 January 2009 (UTC)

Rihanna
See the page, the part of "Music Genre" in the box. Vítor & Rihanna (talk) 23:04, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
- I have, but I think that the genre field should reflect what she primarily performs. I understand that she did collaborations with the rock band Maroon 5 and several rappers (such as in T.I.'s "Live Your Life") but that doesn't mean she performs those genres. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:17, 15 February 2009 (UTC)
Re: What does "highly visible" mean in move-protection case?
Hmm, I guess he's more well-known than I previously believed. Even so, move-protects are generally arbitrary and unnecessary, so I would still wait until there's evidence of page move vandalism. Cheers, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 02:38, 16 February 2009 (UTC)
A while ago you tried to delete a future album of mine. You tried again. Well, I've found several sources and proved my point that this album is coming out. When rappers say they are going to do something (make an album) like Fat Joe did in the video I originally posted as the only reference, they don't just say it for the heck of it. I've NEVER heard of any music artist doing this. Y5nthon5a (talk) 20:29, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- Which was that other album? Now that I've seen the sources I accept that Fat Joe will release JOSE 2, but the thing is that I'm a bit strict over notability and sources. --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:40, 3 March 2009 (UTC)
- I don't remember when/ which album it was, but I do remember it was a year or so ago. Well, if you see any articles about albums or songs again that are by me, please ask me about it before you tag it because I know more about hip hop than most. Thanks! --I'd also like to note, Fat Joe is my favorite artist, and he held the listening party on my birthday, which is kind of cool for me. Y5nthon5a (talk) 04:36, 4 March 2009 (UTC)
T.I. discography
Hey there, I noticed removed the guest appearances section from T.I. discography, and was wondering, is there a specific guideline or policy that states these appearances are not notable or unencyclopedic? I've looked over WP:DISCOG and MOS:DISCOG and can't seem to understand why you removed this section. DiverseMentality 00:57, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- The MOS page states "Remember, this is a discography not a songography, so we're mostly concerned with the release, not every song on that release." --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 00:59, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
If that were the case, all the discographies that are featured lists would need to be cut down significantly; not only that, but they probably would've been instructed to remove the songs when going through the process. That being said, I think I can say that MOS:DISCOG is being interpreted differently by different users. Perhaps we should get a discussion going on the MOS talk page for a clarification? DiverseMentality 01:06, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- "Cut down significantly"? Hmm, regarding this issue check out the 50 Cent discography page. I don't see a list like the one from T.I.'s. I'll start up a discussion right now.--Andrewlp1991 (talk) 01:10, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
50 Cent discography#Guest appearances is quite the same thing, actually. Either way, I think we should wait for a clarification before taking any further actions on discographies. DiverseMentality 01:14, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- Ooh oh, I didn't notice that! --Andrewlp1991 (talk) 01:15, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
About you removing my comment on lamb of god and religion in the talk section 3/7/07
Why did u remove it? heres what i said The church shouldnt look down on metal just because its heavy and aggresive in nature...... the church shouldn't attack bands like lamb of god, they dont even really bring up religion in thier songs. On the other hand bands like morbid angel i can understand why they wouldnt like, but to me its all just music and is meant to be enjoyed. Even if it contains anti chritian themes, it doesnt mean one should reject the music alltogether. Im a christian and i listen to mostly death and doom metal.... especially bands like morbid angel, death and especially slayer... all who talk about religion alot. Also i can still enjoy music that goes directly against my beliefs (slayer, morbid angel, etc ive learned to avoid the anti christian part, but when it comes to political views, i take that more personally (but i tend to avoid this kind)) like arch enemy (great band though) - nemesis says "crushing democracy".... A communistic statement which made me take another look at the band.... but i still enjoy thier other songs ~anonymous i just logged on now to my account lol i dont see why u removed this and not my other stuff i dont like it when i spend a long time (1 minute) writing something meaningful only to have some random person erase it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slayer9403 (talk • contribs) 06:32, 8 March 2009

FYI
Just so you know, if you disagree with a prod that has been placed on a page, you should simply remove the template with an edit summary briefly explaining why. If the person who placed the tag still wants the page deleted, they can take it to AfD. Also, its probably not a good idea to add the {{hangon}} template to pages that you want kept because the template will add the page to CAT:CSD. This has been a presentation of User:Thingg's friendly for your information service. I hope you enjoyed the show. Cheers and happy editing! :) Thingg⊕⊗ 05:17, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

The editor that did the page moves has been on my radar for a while - as far as I can see they've not made a single good edit. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Parents Television Council. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Hi,
I'm curious what you meant, when you said "rewrite, the decision section should not be a direct duplication," while at the same time deleting the content under that section without actually rewriting it. While I do agree that we shouldn't rely on the syllabus text in the long run, I would prefer to retain it until some enterprising Wikipedian performs the rewrite, because new Supreme Court case need to have substantial content ASAP (partly so that journalists who are covering the news learn that they can rely on Wikipedia as a source). Anyhow, in this case I'll let you decide, and in the meantime I'll try to rewrite the body text to conform to your request. But if you run into cases like this again, I'd like to ask you make the request in the talk page or a template, rather than deleting the content. - OK I rewrote the article in my own words. I actually appreciate that you deleted the verbatim content, since it motivated me to make this effort. New Supreme Court decisions only rarely look this good ... :) Agradman appreciates civility/makes occasional mistakes 02:52, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Natalie alvarado.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Natalie alvarado.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:
- state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
- add the relevant copyright tag.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Page moves
When you moved In the City (album) to In the City (The Jam album), you should have checked the incoming links to the page. The link from the disambiguation page In the City needed to be updated to point to the new title, as did the link on Template:The Jam. In short, thank you for editing Wikipedia, but please try to be sure that your edits improve the user's experience and do not make it more difficult for a reader to find the article in which they are interested. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 11:00, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
IP removing warnings from their own talk page, FYI
Hey Andrewlp1991. I think we've run across each other here, but I'm not 100% sure. Anyhow, we've both warned User:174.115.207.219, so I saw your revert of their blanking today.
There's consensus to allow an IP to remove the warnings off their page, probably to keep the warnings from being a badge of shame ("Remember that any editor may freely remove messages from their own talk page, so they might appear only in the talk history."). It's also clear that block templates must stand, so reverting them (and/or page protection) is acceptible (though edit warring is not).
Just FYI, because I've been down that path before :-). One of the nice things about allowing a user to blank their page is that it is proof they've seen the notices. So, if there's further vandalism, it's pretty clear they saw the warnings to not do so. Apologies if I'm preaching to the choir. Cheers, tedder (talk) 04:58, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Removal of speedy from Sin Ropa
I removed your A9 speedy tag from this page as it was not applicable as we have an article on the artist. Please feel free to prod or AfD if you feel either is applicable. Dpmuk (talk) 11:57, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- I've removed it again as we have an article on the artist here - Niurka Marcos so it's not eligable for A9. As it happens the artist is not up for deletion but even if it was this has no bearing on an A9 as an article can only be speedied under A9 once the artist's article has been deleted - the criterion are quite clear on this - A9 only applies "where the artist's article does not exist". Possible hoax is not a speedy delete reason (blantant hoaxs can be deleted under G3 but this does not fall into that category as it's not blantant). When you say "That article's up for deletion too as a possible hoax" I can only think you're refering to the article on the albulm which is up for proposed deletion rather than speedy deletion. I suggest you do the same for this article if you want it deleted. Dpmuk (talk) 15:25, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Regarding this diff, in particular the edit summary any dead billboard.com links can be replaced by those at billboardmagazine.com. In addition, Hot 100 Airplay and Hot 100 are different charts just so you know. The Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles is, you guessed it, another different chart.--The LegendarySky Attacker 23:18, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
One more thing. If you ever have any questions about the US charts, you are always welcome to ask me.--The LegendarySky Attacker 23:28, 18 August 2009 (UTC)
- OK I do understand the rock chart situation, but why exclude the bubbling under position for "Get Born Again" just to include the airplay peaks for "No Excuses" and "Heaven Besides You"? What I did, including the footnote regarding the airplay chart, is common practice round here. Andrewlp1991 (talk) 23:32, 18 August 2009 (UTC)

I find your edit summaries presumptuous. "Cleanup" implies that the article needed cleaning up, and that you cleaned it up. Neither of these appear to me to be the case. And "improve some refs" implies that they were in need of improvement, and that you improved them, whereas in fact what you did is put them in templates, a format I (the original author of the refs you refer to) deliberately avoided. Convention is to go along with the style of the original author. You also in this process introduced many errors and ambiguities, and lost some information I was careful to provide. (You did however provide access dates for web links, which would have been an improvement were it all you did). I'm also puzzled why you reversed some decisions I made, such as linking to the now truncated stories on the Globe website rather than the relevant page of the Globe's archive service. All of this seems (unless you have some kind of script for such things) like a considerable amount of work with which you could have for instance sourced an article from scratch or rescued an article from AfD in some style. Perhaps in future you could be more thoughtful about whether something needs changing, and have some thought that perhaps the original editors' choices could be respected. 86.44.35.67 (talk) 00:40, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Re:Susan Atkins photo
I do not have time to research the issue right now. However, the image was tagged as non-free, so I treated it as a non-free image. J Milburn (talk) 17:13, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
Archiving + a comment.
Would you like your talk page archiving? :)
Also, with this edit [1] maybe you should have put in the edit summary something like "references" to refer that it needed it? Just a thought. --ScythreTalkContribs 21:15, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
- The edit in question is the revert on Nirvana. I'm pretty rubbish at linking things etc. --ScythreTalkContribs 21:18, 27 September 2009 (UTC)
