Retired aircraft moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Retired aircraft, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks, its a work in progress ! ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 07:57, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the barnstar. This is a bit late as I didn't see it because of the collapse! Thank you very much, it is much appreciated. AmericanAir88 (talk) 01:47, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

My pleasure. Thank you for your guidance ! ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 08:15, 2 August 2018 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm John from Idegon. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Saline, Michigan have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. John from Idegon (talk) 12:59, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

@John from Idegon:All i did was to reproduce the info, from one page on to the page of the city/town. I dont live there, dont work at Liebherr Saline. So, i think its a notable piece of information, in context of the towns economy.~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 13:21, 24 August 2018 (UTC)

Re: Viking or Norsemen

Hi, thank you for your message. I must admit ignorance though, as I am unable to find any such message or talk page discussion directed to me from the user Jerry Stockton. Where can I view this message? Skoskav~enwiki (talk) 12:16, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

It was in some of the edit summaries he left on articles that you had edited. His comments and his POV aside, you need to provide sources/references in order for such a fundamental change to be accepted. The name of a community may differ according to POV, hence we come back to WP:NPOV. ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 12:24, 4 September 2018 (UTC)
@Skoskav~enwiki: Also, if there isn't already a talk page discussion, create one, post your refernce material/proof. If nobody opposes it even after sometime has passed, you can consider acting on it. @AmericanAir88: Correct me if i am wrong about this. ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 12:36, 4 September 2018 (UTC)

I did NOT ask Skoskav~enwiki to discuss it on the talk pages before changing Viking to Norse. Jerry Stockton (talk) 06:07, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

@Jerry Stockton: See [[1]] 19th August 14:36 .....You undid a revision on the topic of discussion, your edit summary "take it to the talk page".

~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 06:55, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

@Jerry Stockton: @Skoskav~enwiki: a mistake in the format of above link....see [here] ...
Anyway, your talk page shows that you have been blocked more than once and have been involved in edit wars. Makes me think that perhaps Jerry is Skoskav~enwiki.....an alternate account or even a sockpuppet (just speculating). ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 07:04, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
It's very unpleasant of you to so quickly attribute malice to our actions by claiming that I disregarded requests to discuss, and calling one of us a sockpuppet. Is it so unthinkable that two people, who created their accounts in 2007 and 2012, just happened to align on a topic at one point? I'm sure you mean well, but it's not coming across to me. Skoskav~enwiki (talk) 09:18, 5 September 2018 (UTC)
I did not imply any malice. I speculated, guessed that it might be so. Firstly it makes no sense....you see Jerry's edit on one of the articles in questions he reverted changes from Norse to Vikings.....and then he suddenly come out here on the talk page and in recent edits in support of Vikings to Norse. No sources or references were cited anywhere in this duration. This is my main concern, not your affiliations or identities. You want to change how a community is referred to in an encyclopaedia, better back it up with Something. And i assumed good faith in most of my reversions, you can check the log. I am in no way connected to either norse, vikings or any scandinavian countries and hence my point of view in in line with WP:NPOV Read it, if you havent already. @Skoskav~enwiki: ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 11:17, 5 September 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Astek

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Astek, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hitro talk 09:01, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Notice

The article Verifavia has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not quite notable and lack of sources.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Abishe (talk) 11:31, 6 November 2019 (UTC)

@Abishe: Sorry for the delayed response, been a while since i checked in. Can you please restore the page for the reasons i am about to explain.

With the ever increasing focus on climate change and the added focus on the transport industry has lead to the implementation of several schemes for controlling GHG emissions.

Being an AVGEEK, i am familiar with exactly what is going in the aviation world. Here, we have the EU ETS for EU emissions and the newly implemented CORSIA scheme brought by ICAO to cover all the emissions all the emissions of the International flights.

A very critical part of this process is independent and impartial verification of the emissions or else we would have more emission cheating scandals like Volkswagen.

Which is where companies like Verifavia come in. This was all pretty new to me as well because these activities and their significance is only just becoming pronounced. In the coming years, i imagine that wikipedia will have hundreds of new articles which either directly or indirectly are related to the climate change phenomena and how we are tackling it. Unless you are a disbeliever ;) :P

All of that aside, based on what i have read VERIFAVIA is the major verifier for airlines and airports in the world. I am not a very active editor on wiki and i contribute when i see that something is missing, which should be there. That is the reason, i had asked for help in building the article, not in deleting it.

Please restore it.

Thank you and good day !!

 ~¤Spacefarer¤~ (talk) 16:05, 26 November 2019 (UTC)

Azhar0705: Well I understand you are a newbie to Wikipedia. I proposed deletion mainly because of the lack of sources and in fact the concern of lack of reliable sources resulted in questioning the notability of the content you provided. I am just a new page reviewer who review pages and tag articles which do not meet notability requirements. I am not an administrator to delete and restore articles as I do not have that right in Wikipedia. You can attempt to recreate article again by providing reliable sources. You are permitted to do so unless you breach the notability issues. On the other hand, you should be aware that prmotional content is not allowed in Wikipedia. So you have to be well aware when creating articles in Wikipedia. Abishe (talk) 03:10, 27 November 2019 (UTC)
