[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Miss Universe 2009, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Angelo De La Paz (talk) 10:43, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Miss SMPN1NOM 2008 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. CSD nomination of Miss SMPN1NOM 2008

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Miss SMPN1NOM 2008 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Bagus245 (talk) 07:39, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Miss Universe 2010 Potential Bids

[edit]

Hi! Would like to request for your input on this article. thanks. Joey80 (talk) 03:09, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To quote, "to invite other people opinion about the place" suggests that this article is not based on facts but indeed, as you yourself wrote, but on speculation. You also stated "promote the beautiful places etc"--well, wikipedia is not a promo/tourism blog. Please read these guidelines first on what wikipedia is all about:

File source problem with File:Karenina.jpg

[edit]
File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Karenina.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:56, 20 June 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. WebHamster 09:56, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated L-Men Of The Year 2009, an article that you created, for deletion. This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits. The next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did to Karenina Sunny Halim, you will be blocked from editing. Angelo De La Paz (talk) 07:02, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Removing the "verify" tag will not solve the issue for this article. The best response is to find reputable citation and sources to support the facts being claimed in the article. So far, the only link available does not support this. I don't read Indonesian, but when I searched the link, there's not a "2011" in it; there's not even a "2010". So don't pull the wool over other editors' eyes by using non-English sources to misguide readers. If you continue to remove the "verify" tag and the citation of sources is not addressed, then the next step is to propose this article for deletion. 210.1.97.216 (talk) 02:41, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And stop deleting other editors' comments on articles talk pages, like this one. It's a place where anyone can post their opinions. Deleting such may go against the rules of Wikipedia. Interestingly, you mentioned in this talk page that it has yet to be determined that Indonesia will host the Miss World, but there is no specific year. This means that the facts included in the Miss World 2011 articles are just made up. Being ready to host a pageant does not mean that it will indeed host it. This is a hasty generalization. This in itself might be enough to merit an article's deletion. So better clean it up before that happens. 210.1.97.216 (talk) 02:54, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at your history of contributions, there are lots of questionable editing which you have made. Mostly, based on personal opinion and original research, which should not be the case for Wikipedia. So please exert the effort and find the time to read and internalize the guidelines: Wikipedia:Reliable sources and Wikipedia:No original research. Address the issues constructively, instead of just removing other editors' comments and moving on as if nothing happened. Doing so will really help improve your writing and editing skills, and will certainly quiet down all those editors who have been criticizing your contributions to Wikipedia. Otherwise, your articles will continue to be the subject of disputes and deletion proposals, and will continue to follow you no matter how many times you change your account name. It may even lead to the blocking of your account/s for continuously being a nuisance editor rather than a constructive one. 210.1.96.121 (talk) 10:00, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Miss Tourism International 2009 Logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Miss Tourism International 2009 Logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILYsock(TALK) 06:24, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Miss Universe 2010

[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Miss Universe 2010. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Miss Universe 2010. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 20 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Miss Tourism International 2009 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free rationale for File:Putri-indonesia-2009-logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Putri-indonesia-2009-logo.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 20:23, 27 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
