Ways to improve The Phoebus Foundation

[edit]

Hi, I'm Domdeparis. BillieGielen, thanks for creating The Phoebus Foundation!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. this looks like a google translation from the Dutch article and should be copy edited as some of the English is approximaive

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

SPAM and COI

[edit]

Please stop spamming paintings from your foundation into articles. I presume you have an undeclared conflict of intertest here - you should declare this and behave appropriately. Johnbod (talk) 11:54, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

While I wouldn't put it this strongly (many of the paintings are really good and topical), you should stop spamming the links to the Foundation. It is very weird to see paintings where you add the title and link to the Foundation, but don't even add the artist (which is what more readers will interest than the location of the painting). You even add the Foundation when you add an image from a book, even though in such a case (except for things like manuscripts or a Gutenberg Bible and the like) the actual location or owner of this specific copy of no interest at all is. Some of the paintings are ok (especially from less famous artists), but eg the addition to Titian wasn't, and is one of several removed. Johnbod (talk) 12:29, 5 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
