Editing Picture Size
[edit]Hi, BlooWilt. I noticed on your userpage that you say you don't know how to change the size of a picture. I'll write an example of how to do it: If you wanted Image:Example.jpg to be 150 pixels, you would write Image:Example.jpg|150px. I hope this helps. AfD nomination of Don't Stay
[edit]An editor has nominated Don't Stay, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not"). Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Foreword (Linkin Park song) and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia, BlooWilt! However, your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the link you added, matching rule \bnewgrounds\.com\b, is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. Please read Wikipedia's external links policy for more information. If the link was to an image, please read Wikipedia's image tutorial on how to use a more appropriate method to insert the image into an article. If your link was intended to promote a site you own, are affiliated with, or will make money from inclusion in Wikipedia, please note that inserting spam into Wikipedia is against policy. Non-free use disputed for Image:BodyMovinSingle.JPG
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:BodyMovinSingle.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted after seven days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Talk at'cha later, BetacommandBot 01:58, 2 August 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Mix_master_mike.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Mix_master_mike.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Tnlf.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Tnlf.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 16:43, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Egg9, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.
If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Andante1980 15:06, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

Bonus Batter
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Bonus Batter, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Rambutan (talk) 14:39, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Bonus Batter, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Bonus Batter satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bonus Batter and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). Batter-thing
[edit]You are expected to explain your removal of PROD templates!--Rambutan (talk) 14:46, 3 September 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Bonus Batter, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Bonus Batter is different from the previously posted material, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on Talk:Bonus Batter saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please feel free to use deletion review, but do not continue to repost the article if it is deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we request you to follow these instructions. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Professor Booty, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.suprari.com/wiki.php?page=Check_Your_Head. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 01:10, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on George Bernier (physician), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Cheers, CP 19:17, 22 September 2007 (UTC)

Beastie Boys song articles
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Beastie Boys information. I'm noticing a few separate articles are being created for album tracks that were not singles. This doesn't seem like a good idea because they will probably never grow beyond stub status, and as article topics they lack notability beyond the albums they come from. Would it be okay if I merged these back to their album pages? Generally a single rich album page beats a number of song stubs.
On a related matter, the long quote from The Sounds Of Science on Something's Got to Give (song) is probably WP:COPYVIO. This should be trimmed deeply, and credited. {{Cite album-notes}} is helpful for that. / edg ☺ ★ 11:13, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
