Hello Singularity42, Thankyou for the help my name Bots09 was only used because I live in Botany in Sydney Australia but I am happy to change it to Mavo1968 but I'm not sure how to do it. I have made a few successful edits to a couple of articles but I am still learning how to write in Wikipedia correctly so any advice would be great. I want to write an article about Australian hall of fame horse trainer Theo Green which I have researched but I suppose I need to practice the correct way to do it first. I'm not even sure if I need to write differently on this talk page but I am willing to learn. To change your user name, apply at WP:CHU - read down to the bottom of that page and then click on "Simple." Don't worry too much about getting everything right at first, but if you like you can make a draft article in your user space - see Help:Userspace draft for how to do that - and then ask for comment on it at WP:Requests for feedback before moving it into the main encyclopedia. Hi Mavo. I have moved your post to the bottom (where new posts and new threads are always posted on Wikipedia)—it was very confusing being placed in the middle of your prior request and made it look like JohnCD had responded to your question here with his prior response to a different question. I have moved the page to Theo Green (trainer), and I have added a hatnote to the article on the British composer referring users to the article you created. I have made some style changes to the article as well. Please note that references always go outside of punctuation, and there should be no space between it and the text it is a footnote to (e.g. Some article text.<ref>citation</ref>). Also we generally use the last name only when referring to the topic after introducing their first name in the first sentence. It's a very good start though. Oh, I have also expanded your citations. Generally, a good citation provides some minimum detail beyond a naked url link which is what you had, such as the title, author, date, publisher, etc.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 04:40, 22 August 2011 (UTC)

Regarding the photograph, are you the owner of the copyright? Right now it will be deleted since it bears no information on its release into the public domain and it is not freely-licensed. It also needs details like a date (approximate if an exact date is unknown [obviously given his age in the photo, it is many years old]) but note that according to my research, if it was taken in Australia prior to January 1, 1955 it is automatically in the public domain there. Other details would be good like where it was taken and by whom. See {{PD-Australia}}. You say that it has no copyright, but that assertion is not useful alone. We need a release or information showing it is public domain because everything is assumed copyrighted until shown otherwise. Point in fact, as I was writing this when I tried to save I only then discovered that you had been given the notice below while I was typing.

On another matter, like I said the article is a good start, but it's still what we call a stub. There's good sources for expansion found using this search such as this article . As I think you know, but just a reminder, when you use a source and cite it, you must say it in your own words and then cite the source as the place where you got the information. In other words, you cannot copy the words used, unless you are quoting the dource, and when you do that, you must use quotation marks.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 12:10, 22 August 2011 (UTC)
