Feedback on your editing
[edit]Kia ora Chillsfan, thank you for helping to edit on Wikipedia, just a bit of feedback on your editing. There is now a general consensus when adding people to notable alumni that the person added also have their own article on Wikipedia. I know there are still a lot of pages that have people in the lists just with an attached reference but it was decided that, that isn't enough anymore and really if the person is notable, they would also have their own article. You can see that at WP:LISTBIO and the discussion had back in 2006 that came to this decision.
I would also point out your use of the minor edit for your changes. Your editing isn't considered minor. Anything that adds or removes from an article, shouldn't be tags as a minor edit. It is used for fixing spelling/grammar mistakes or simple formatting changes.
If you need any help, please contact me or consider contacting WP:Teahouse or WP:Help desk. NZFC(talk)(cont) 22:44, 5 October 2020 (UTC)
question re source
[edit]Hi, added a bunch of content to a page & it was noted some came from a blog source https://oztypewriter.blogspot.com/2015/12/the-great-new-zealand-journalist.html although a blog, info tallies with other sources I found & seems well researched.
An afghan for you!
[edit](The afghan is the unofficial biscuit of Wikimedia Aotearoa.)
Kia ora Chillsfan; it was great to see you again at the edit-a-thon. Good work with Bernard Diederich. When you're getting started editing it really helps to have some mentoring, so I encourage you to check out the Facebook group, join us for the monthly Aotearoa online meetup, leave a message on my Talk page, or just email me if you have a question. Ka kite ano. — Giantflightlessbirds (talk) 10:31, 21 August 2021 (UTC) |
