January 2014[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Yasmine Akram has been reverted.
Your edit here to Yasmine Akram was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (https://twitter.com/yasmineakram/) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 12:18, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello[edit]

Cluingforlooks, you have the potential to be a very good editor, a lot of your edits are reliable and well sourced and for the most part in good faith. However, seeing as your a new editor and/or another user under another name (be VERY careful of WP:SOCKPUPPETRY), it probably wouldn't hurt to read up on Wiki guidelines and MoS and what Wiki is and is not. I know it helped me when I first started. Also, I can tell that Cumberbatch seems to be a favorite of yours, this too I would be careful of as to not get too attached to the article when other editors edit it. Users can't "claim" an article as their own and revert any edit another editor makes just because they don't agree with it. If the edit is for the better interest of the article, leave it be. If it's obvious WP:VANDALISM then it can be reverted. When you and another editor get into a disagreement over reverting edits, be careful of the WP:3RR as it can lead to an WP:EDITWAR and cause one if not both parties to be blocked. Take it to the talk page and get WP:CONSENSUS if you can't come to an agreement and only use ONE ACCOUNT, do not create multiple accounts to back up your own statement or to make the same edit under a different name. Wiki does not work that way and you WILL be caught. Just saying. Happy editing. LADY LOTUSTALK 13:42, 15 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Do you not take warnings for WP:SOCKPUPPETRY seriously? LADY LOTUSTALK 18:38, 17 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your use of multiple Wikipedia accounts[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Fairyspit, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
