Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Helen Lewis (journalist), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! Sourcing

[edit]

The policy behind the requirement is wp:verifiability. wp:citations should reference a wp:reliable source. See help:referencing for beginners. An easy way is to use the wp:RefToolbar/2.0. Please do a complete citation as that helps repair of wp:linkrot. Use a wp:template such as {{cite web}} - which is what RefToolbar/2.0 uses. Thanks for the note! Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 02:32, 5 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You need to cite a source that Ronay was educated at Oxford. As most anyone can edit Wikipedia, citations are the only way Wikipedia has any credibility. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 10:40, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

How to proceed after someone undoes your edit

[edit]

See wp:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. You can either fix the problem if it is obvious such as citing a source. If the person disagrees with its addition, you should start a discussion on the article's talk page such as talk:Barney Ronay. See help:talk pages. Get wp:consensus (consensus is a policy-based agreement) before restoring content. Please note that repeatedly adding unsourced content may result in sanctions such as a wp:block. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 21:04, 6 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Helen Lewis (journalist), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Baba Rum Raisin (talk) 02:20, 11 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
