Disputed non-free use rationale for File:This Is Not America - I'm Not Ready Yet music video.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:This Is Not America - I'm Not Ready Yet music video.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 00:43, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Count Bang. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially egregious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Count Bang. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Count Bang|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Nardog (talk) 12:27, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Nardog, no I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. Count Bang (talk) 15:54, 20 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent article submission has been rejected. If you have further questions, you can ask at the Articles for creation help desk or use Wikipedia's real-time chat help. The reason left by Timtrent was: This topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. The comment the reviewer left was: Merge into Claes Bang for now. Create a section for it there. Later, once the rough edges are knocked off it might become a free standing article. Note that this is a 'technical rejection' and does not reflect on the quality of your work

Thanks. The information has been merged into the Claes Bang article. Count Bang (talk) 09:40, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Managing a conflict of interest[edit]

Information icon Hello, Count Bang. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:This Is Not America (musician), you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Are you Claes Bang? If so you will need to declare your conflict of interest when working on material to do with his work. Fiddle Faddle 19:35, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Timtrent. I just want to confirm that I do not have a conflict of interest with any of the topics related to This Is Not America or Claes Bang. Also, my edits are not for purpose of advertising/publicising/promoting. Count Bang (talk) 10:14, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for merging the draft into the main article. This is a technical proposal for deletion and refers only to the draft Fiddle Faddle 09:46, 25 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
