Declare any connection[edit]

I have an unpaid conflict of interest with Pulse Microsystems - CG

Information icon Hello, Csgoldberg. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Pulse Microsystems, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. Editing for the purpose of advertising or promotion is not permitted. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:04, 27 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Undeletion request[edit]

Hi, I'm continuing the discussion here, to address two points you raised in your undeletion request.

To set up your email preferences, click on "Preferences" (you should see the link at the top of any page). Down near the bottom of the "Profile" tab, you should see a section about email. You need to set an email address and check the box "allow other users to email me".

Please read WP:PAID. If you are an employee or associate of the company and you are receiving compensation, regardless of whether you are being paid to edit on Wikipedia, you are considered a paid editor. You don't need an article to make a paid editor declaration. In your case, you would just put this template on your user page (see the "User page" tab above): {{paid|employer=Pulse Microsystems}}

If you aren't being paid by Pulse Microsystems in any capacity whatsoever, but you have some association (like one of your friends or family members works there), you can instead simply write a note on your user page explaining the conflict of interest.

It's OK to have a conflict of interest, and it's OK to be a paid editor. We just require transparency. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:10, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I dont work there, but it is my father's company, and as his competitors have their own sites, and have far fewer accomplishments, I wanted to set up a page for him.
Thanks for that disclosure. I suggest putting on your user page the statement "I have an unpaid conflict of interest with Pulse Microsystems".
I have emailed the source for the deleted draft.
Please sign your comments with four tilde characters, like this: ~~~~ Then when you click "Publish changes" this will be converted to a signature showing your username.
Feel free to start the article again in draft space. Don't write in a promotional way. Wikipedia isn't a publicity medium. Before the article is accepted, the subject must meet inclusion criteria. For a useful and brief overview of what's expected, see Wikipedia:Golden rule. Note that patent documents and press releases don't count as "significant coverage by independent reliable sources", those are self-coverage sources. ~Anachronist (talk) 18:55, 13 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

April 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at User talk:Theroadislong, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
