Reliance, Delaware/Maryland

[edit]

User:RFD pointed out to me that Reliance, Delaware and Reliance, Maryland appear to be the same community, just one that straddles the state line. Since you wrote the Delaware article after the Maryland one was created, do you know if these are treated locally as separate communities for some reason? The sources indicate that they're the same place, and there's precedent for this sort of thing, so I'm inclined to merge them. TheCatalyst31 ReactionCreation 04:17, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I'm okay with merging the two articles into Reliance, Delaware and Maryland since that would reduce the redundancy. Dough4872 04:19, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a precedent for a better disabiguator than "Delaware and Maryland"? –Fredddie 04:27, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
WP:USPLACE says to include both states names for places that straddle state lines i.e. Glenrio, New Mexico and Texas. Dough4872 04:29, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Unexplained reversions

[edit]

If you feel the need to revert an article to a prior state of existence, please let everyone know exactly what was wrong with the version that you are undoing. That way, the editors whose changes you are eliminating can know exactly what to do differently next time. Or better yet, look over all the changes that were made and fix only the ones that are a problem while leaving the others alone. Just because one particular change may be a problem doesn't mean that all the changes made in the same single edit are a problem. Greggens (talk) 21:15, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have made some fixes while I have I have left some of your changes in place. Dough4872 22:06, 12 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox

[edit]

I noticed you made this edit. You may wish to comment on a current RfC at Talk:Middlebury, Connecticut#RfC about pushpin map in infobox. Thank you. Magnolia677 (talk) 11:18, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature

[edit]

Hey there! Minor nitpick regarding your signature... it contains invalid HTML which can confuse syntax highlighters, and also due to the use of deprecated code it may not always appear the same. Would you mind changing it to the following?

'''<span style="background:#006B54; padding:2px">[[User:Dough4872|<span style="color:white">Dough</span>]]</span><span style="background: #FFD200; padding:2px">[[User talk:Dough4872|<span style="color:black">4872</span>]]</span>'''

This will render exactly the same as your current signature except with valid HTML: Dough4872

I hope this is OK :) Thank you! MusikAnimal talk 04:26, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Changed it. Dough4872 04:32, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Help with edit request

[edit]

Hello! I recently submitted an edit request to update the David Trone article, which I posted at Talk:David_Trone#Edit_request_to_update_article. I won't update the article directly because of my conflict of interest, so I am looking for a neutral editor who is willing to make this change on my behalf. I've posted requests for help at WikiProjects Biography, Maryland, and Pennsylvania, but so far no one has responded. As an active WikiProject Pennsylvania participant, I was wondering if you might be available. I don't think it would take very long to review, and I've provided specific markup that is easy to copy and paste if you find the changes acceptable. Thanks for your consideration. Inkian Jason (talk) 21:22, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Should you really be changing logs?

[edit]

In these edits you changed the entry for Interstate 87 on September 19, 2015 in Wikipedia:Version 1.0 Editorial Team/Capital District articles by quality log to match today's version of the article. Should you really be re-writing history like that? -- DanielPenfield (talk) 07:44, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Well the article title changed since it was moved. If you want you can revert it. Dough4872 13:19, 7 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Pushpin maps

[edit]

Thank you for adding a pushpin map to Swarthmore, Pennsylvania. I just removed the maps of Delaware County that were in the Infobox before your edit since to me they (a) are not directly related to the primary topic of the article, which is the borough of Swarthmore, and (b) having three maps in the infobox seems to two to many. Please consider making similar edits as you "move along" adding pushpin maps to other articles. Thanks. FFM784 (talk) 01:51, 5 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Reviewing

[edit]
Hello, Dough4872.

As one of Wikipedia's most experienced Wikipedia editors,
Would you please consider becoming a New Page Reviewer? Reviewing/patrolling a page doesn't take much time but it requires a good understanding of Wikipedia policies and guidelines; currently Wikipedia needs experienced users at this task. (After gaining the flag, patrolling is not mandatory. One can do it at their convenience). But kindly read the tutorial before making your decision. Thanks. — Insertcleverphrasehere (or here) 08:30, 6 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
