Hey, why did you remove so much text from that page?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mexico national football team, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bobby Wood. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello GPNG, from Portugal,

I believe it will be very difficult to get a positive and accurate reply, because it's quite an ancient sportsperson I am referring to, but I have the following: I am going to further improve his article (at least the Spanish career part) but, before I do so, I am having quite the trouble with this honour, the Football at the 1938 Central American and Caribbean Games.

Was he already playing for the Mexico national team after only ONE year in the country? Could he have been of Mexican ancestry? Or is the honour just vandalism? Thank you very much with whatever you can provide. --84.90.219.128 (talk) 04:37, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

According to the Spanish article, he was part of the squad but was an unused substitute. I don't know if he was naturalized or if he was from Mexican ancestry though. GoPurple'nGold24 06:25, 13 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Autopatrolled granted

[edit]

Hi GoPurpleNGold24, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the "autopatrolled" permission to your account, as you have created numerous, valid articles. This feature will have no effect on your editing, and is simply intended to reduce the workload on new page patrollers. For more information on the patroller right, see Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! MusikAnimal talk 03:43, 18 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dear fellow Wikipedian,

I would like to personally invite you to the March edition of the Wik-Ed Women meetup, which will take place on March 15, from 6-10 in the evening. It will occur at Los Angeles Contemporary Archive, 2245 E Washington Blvd, Los Angeles, California 90021 (downtown LA -- map). The building has a pink top with old signage for American Accessories, Inc. dba Princess Accessories (Photos [PDF]). There is on-site parking in the back, which also has an entrance. If you cannot attend in person, you are more than willing to work remotely, as we appreciate all help that you can provide. Finally, here is a link to the Facebook event, in case you want to invite friends, as we are always looking for new editors to help expand coverage of women on Wikipedia!

I hope to see you there! Cosmicphantom (talk) - via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 05:54, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

June 2016

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Omar Gonzalez. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be undone.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Please read the section in WP:MOSFLAG called "Just because you think the flags are unnecessary" before reverting my edits without giving a reason. Thank you User:MDallumUser_talk:MDallumSpecial:Contributions/MDallum 06:59, 2 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Omar Gonzalez. I already reported you as well, however I had no idea that the presence of national flags were a trigger for you. Had I known that you were this sensitive on the matter I would not of added them. However the reasons the Flag icons were inserted was to convey information in addition to the text, which is in the guidelines. The information that a player has won championships in multiple countries can be conveyed visually. Thank you. Removal of soccer match-cruft from US stadium articles

[edit]

GPNG, has this been discussed somewhere at a central lcation, and a consensus reached to remove the match-cruft? I agree that removing it is a good thing, and I'd like to remove similar information from some stadium articles that I've watchlisted. However, I want to make sure there is a consensus somewhere appropriate before wading in on my own. If there isn't a clear community consensus to do this, you do probably need to get one first, as these sections are commonplace. Thanks. - BilCat (talk) 06:38, 18 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

NRG Stadium soccer matches section removal

[edit]

Dude, what is so wrong with the collapsed table of soccer matches? I understand getting rid of the original table, as it did take up a lot of space, but now that it is collapsed I dont see the need to keep getting rid of it? It's not space-consuming, it's useful information to a lot of people, and even if some people don't care for it, it's collapsed so no harm. I just don't understand why you insist on getting rid of the collapsed table, I think it's the best of both worlds.

Because there's no reason to add soccer matches. There's already plenty of information regarding soccer at the stadium. If soccer matches are added then all NFl games should be added too. Also it's unsourced. GoPurple'nGold24 06:14, 22 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The article Paulina García (disambiguation) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:2DABS

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
