Speedy deletion nomination of Khandadhar water fall

[edit]

Hello Harichandan kar,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Khandadhar water fall for deletion, because it seems to be a test. Did you know that the Wikipedia Sandbox is available for testing out edits?

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, Cgtdk (talk) 18:33, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your contributed article, Khandadhar water fall

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Khandadhar water fall. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Khandadhar Falls. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Khandadhar Falls – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Nipun Bayas (talk) 19:02, 25 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a message letting you know that one of your recent edits has been undone by an automated computer program called ClueBot NG.

I have moved this page back to its proper title. If you think it should be at a different title, please make a proposal on the article talk page and get WP:Consensus with other editors.

It is a general principle that article titles should not contain unnecessary "disambiguation", so unless there are other waterfalls known as "Khandadhar Falls" there is no need to have "Odisha" in the article title. See Wikipedia:Article titles for more about this.

See WP:Moving a page for advice on how to do it when it is necessary. Note that pages with the "Wikipedia:" prefix are for pages concerned with the operation of the encyclopedia, so titles like "Wikipedia:Odisha, Khandadhar" are not appropriate: when moving a page within the main encyclopedia, you need to select "(Article)", not "Wikipedia", in the drop-down box on the left. But unless you are confident that a change of title is necessary, it is a good idea to propose it first on the article talk page, and see if others agree. You can use the WP:Requested move process.

I see you have made a new article. We do not like to have parallel articles about the same subject, and normally a new one would be speedily deleted, but as yours has some more information and pictures, I have not done that. Instead, I have placed templates suggesting that your should be merged into the existing article, and I have made a note at Wikipedia talk:Noticeboard for India-related topics#Merge needed to ask for other editors to help with that. What you have done is good, but it is written too much in the style of a tourist guide. Wikipedia requires a WP:Neutral point of view, and facts rather than opinions, and statements like "The most captivating sight is the rainbow" and "After a trip, your soul is sure to be rejuvenated" are opinions, and not suitable for an encyclopedia.

I have removed your name from the article. Wikipedia articles are not signed, because they are not "owned" by their first author, or by anyone - see WP:Ownership of articles. Almost all articles are the work of many people, and all contributions are recorded in the article history. The way Wikipedia works is that someone starts an article and then many others come in to make improvements. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 17:17, 7 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
