Image marked for deletion - please supply copyright tag[edit]

Hi, your image Hlakungpui is at risk of deletion because you forgot to add its copyright and license. Either go to the image and put in the information 'by hand', or, and you might find this easier, upload the image again, with a new name, directly to Wikimedia Commons (i.e. NOT to Wikipedia as such) at Wikimedia Commons Upload Wizard where you just have to say 'I created this image' and it will put in the information for you. Then you can use the new image without trouble in the Wikipedia article. Good luck and thank you. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:59, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This is dangerous advice. Let me add a correction: you may go to Commons and re-upload the file saying "I created this image", if you indeed did create this image. If you didn't, you must not re-upload it, and the present version will be deleted. Fut.Perf. 14:12, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]
No indeed. However the user is undoubtedly from the area, so it is very likely that they do indeed own the photograph. Assuming good faith, I suspect that the user managed to upload an image but was flummoxed by the rest of the process: which is why I suggested the wizard, which goes some way to solving the problem. Image without license[edit]

Unspecified source for File:Lalzuithanga.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lalzuithanga.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 17:34, 22 January 2012 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? --Rcsprinter (state) 17:34, 22 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Mizo Hlakungpui Mual Article needs Citations[edit]

This article is currently very strong on details of poets, but very weak indeed on evidence. Wikipedia articles rely on evidence in the form of references to published documents from newspapers, magazines, websites and so on. The article is under direct and immediate threat of deletion as it is at "Articles for Deletion". The current work you are doing on providing empty hatnotes, minor details of poets, etc, is not addressing the basic lack of evidence. Please read Wikipedia:Verifiability to gain an understanding of what is needed. I will try to help you where I can, please feel free to ask if there's anything I can do. But it's really a total waste of time working on the article other than by adding citations at the moment - if the article is deleted you will have nothing to work on. Much the same applies to the images you have added - they will all be gone very soon unless you sort out the copyright problems. With best wishes Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:08, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, there is no point deleting the AfD header from the article. That will not stop the deletion process - you can see for yourself if you follow the link in the header to the AfD. Chiswick Chap (talk) 17:18, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Bulbophyllum hlakungpuii. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  09:09, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
