Orphaned non-free image (Image:Bm2 jason large.gif)
Thanks for uploading Image:Bm2 jason large.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:12, 18 July 2007 (UTC)

Looking for something to do? WikiProject Furry is improving articles on furry and anthropomorphic topics, and we'd like to have you on board.
Our current goal is to raise Anthrocon, furry convention and furry fandom to good article status and beyond - but if that doesn't take your fancy, there are plenty of other articles to work on. Give it a go and let us know how you're doing! You received this one-time invitation because you are a Furry Wikipedian. GreenReaper 22:48, 28 July 2007 (UTC) |

Fair use rationale for Image:Vegeta photo.png
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Vegeta photo.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Jay32183 04:18, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Fair use disputed for Image:Darkrift.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Darkrift.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:MMLonesomeCrowdedWest.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:MMLonesomeCrowdedWest.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 13:10, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

Question for you. Do you know why the team history was pulled out of the main article? The main BC article is barely a stub without the history. Gateman1997 (talk) 20:27, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
British Columbia Lions
Listen up loser, I don't care what BC Lions Football Club states, what does B.C. stand for British Columbia, what is their proper name British Columbia Lions, what province do you think the team is representing. What did their first GM call them in the history section that you moved. Did you even look at the team's history on their website www.bclions.com. If you want to state B.C. fine-I have done so in their history page, but as a title leave it British Columbia Lions. Furthermore, don't threaten me about getting me punished for vandalizing the site buddy. I improved that site before you came along, I improved the sites of the other teams and started the CFL seasons dating back to the 30's and created their Awards pages, before you joined the bandwagon. Also the point of Wikipedia, is that everybody contributes not just you. As far as I am concerned I should inform Wikipedia of you vandalizing the name. Now, I would recommed that you owe me an apology and produce your explanation with respect. Now I have done my lecture - It is up to you be respectful and friendly or be a deucbag. P.S. I am going to change the name to British Columbia Lions in other pages to get your attention. Bestghuran 13:04, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Hey
Just noticed you have me listed as a mentor, more than willing to help you with anything you need. And if I revert something, don't take it personally. Often its just me adjusting something to a standard that the hockey project already uses. You have been doing some terrific work with the Kelowna and WHL articles. Wish we could get more people doing that with WHL articles. I keep telling myself I am going to do alot of that with the Wheat Kings but I keep putting it off. -Djsasso (talk) 20:32, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah I know you what you mean. I have a giant list of things I want to get done, but keep putting it off. At first, I was overly anxious at creating an article for everything on Wikipedia, and found myself creating more work for others (like yourself), and now I can trust that whatever I add to Wikipedia (that isn't suitable), and is deleted by you, it is a good thing! So, thank you for "parenting" me along on Wikipedia. I have and will continue to learn a lot from Wikipedians like yourself. I hope some day I too will be able to follow your footsteps. — Hucz (talk · contribs) 20:38, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, I was exactly the same way, and now try to limit myself for the most part to just hockey because there is just too much out there to edit. The changes you are making are good. Only major things I have noticed is the use of colour, just try to be a little less liberal with colour, we have to be aware with wikipedia that people with health issues may not be able to handle things like coloured text on coloured background (ie colourblind) so we tend to use it sparingly. Some people just don't like it. For hockey articles take a look through the WP:HOCKEY pages for examples on layout of things like templates or pages and it gives a pretty good idea on how things are currently happening. That isn't saying things can't change, if you feel strongly by all mean stake it to the project page and argue why you think your versions are better. Some of us (myself included) can be hard headed at times but we are pretty good at coming together with really great ideas. As far as editing WHL related topics another good person to ask questions of is User:Resolute as he has done alot of work with the Calgary Hitmen and got it all the way up to featured status and is pretty darn helpfull to boot. -Djsasso (talk) 20:45, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh BTW I thought you might be interested in Wikipedia:Userboxes/Sports/Ice_Hockey#Western_Hockey_League since I you are starting to play with userboxes. Might wany to add anything relevant you create. -Djsasso (talk) 22:58, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Re: AfD
Hi Hucz. I just wanted to point out to you a few lines from the very link you posted on my talk page. It states,
"Votes" without rationales may be discounted at the discretion of the closing admin... The purpose of the discussion is to achieve consensus upon a course of action... To the extent that voting occurs (see meta:Polls are evil), the votes are merely a means to gauge the degree of consensus reached so far. Wikipedia is not a democracy and majority voting is not the determining factor in whether a nomination succeeds or not.
It is quite obvious that you were attempting to influence the final outcome by contributing a "vote", which was absolutely unnecessary, seeing as you were not only the creator of the AfD, but also voiced your repetitive opinions under numerous "keep" arguments. I'd ignore it if you had added a "Delete" comment with a summarization of your views as to why the article should be deleted. However, as you had stated those opinions in your nomination of the article, and continuously reiterated those opinions throughout the discussion, to put a plain, commentless "delete" without any new contribution demonstrates a misunderstanding of the AfD process. It's nothing personal, I promise, i just feel that you have a stronger interest in seeing this article deleted than is reasonable. Perhaps me calling you out on the public discussion was a small step over the line; however, it was no more over the line than a pointless "vote", which has no place in an AfD anyway if it's not followed by some discussion as to why you feel that way - especially since you are the nom. Coastalsteve984 (talk) 14:27, 5 November 2008 (UTC)
- My main argument is that it was unnecessarily repetitive. As the AfD nom, you obviously already feel that the article should be deleted. That’s fine. And you stated futher (though, often repetitive) reasoning throughout the discussion. That’s fine. However, unless your mind is changed in an AfD you nominate, there is no reason to add a ‘’’Delete’’’ into the discussion. Your opinion is already registered by the nomination. I felt that you were attempting to sway the closing admin by indicating a “vote” that wasn’t new. Almost as if someone comes in at the beginning of the discussion and says ‘’’Keep’’’ because of such and such reason, then 2 days later comes in at the bottom and adds another ‘’’Keep’’’ per previous statements. It’s falsifying how much support there is one way or the other. Now you didn’t add two ‘’’Deletes’’’ per say, however, your nom, IMO, qualifies as a ‘’’Delete’’’. That’s my main issue. However, I have this feeling that you’re not going to agree with me, and, let’s be honest, this debate we’re having, in the grand scheme of things, doesn’t mean a daggon thing. So, I suppose we’ll just agree to disagree. I’d just prefer it if you didn’t “vote” for your own nom’s, and accept that others have viewpoints that differ from yours, and that they might not all be wrong… Have a good one buddy, I'm off to the Urbanna Oyster Festival for a weekend of food and beverages :) Coastalsteve984 (talk) 14:56, 6 November 2008 (UTC)
Rusal logo
Hi Hucz, I just wanted to ask if you could add a source to the logo for RUSAL. It's great that you found an svg for a Russian company's logo (usually it's difficult!) so it would be good to know where it came from, and have all the required information (like Rio Tinto Group's, for example). Hello, Hucz ... Thnx fer the correction to {{TV Guide show}} after the article for TV Guide got redirected ... FYI, I guess you didn't notice the companion {{TV Guide person}}, so I made the same change. :-) Happy Editing! — 72.75.108.10 (talk · contribs) 20:48, 25 January 2009 (UTC)

No content in Category:International Hockey League (1945–2001) logos
Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:International Hockey League (1945–2001) logos, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:International Hockey League (1945–2001) logos has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:International Hockey League (1945–2001) logos, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. I have a question about taskforces, what are the procedures to starting one? I'd like to start a similar task force for college hockey a quick check showed more than 500 articles. I think a taskforce would help condense, coordinate, assess, and organized the articles.--Bhockey10 (talk) 18:36, 1 March 2009 (UTC)

WHL seasons
Thanks for reverting every single one of my edits. You were complaining that season shouldn't be linked in the title part, why didn't you just change them to the "1966-67 WHL season was the first season"? Did you have to revert every single one, and not even look at them? You brought back tons of dabs needed to be fixed, tons of capitalization mistakes, etc... RandySavageFTW (talk) 18:43, 24 March 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, it's not big a deal. Sorry for getting mad over it. RandySavageFTW (talk) 09:49, 25 March 2009 (UTC)
