[edit]Please do not remove comments from article talk pages. It is considered vandalism. Thank you. Tufflaw 04:01, 9 February 2006 (UTC) My apologies - I misread this diff [1], that talk page has become a disaster. Sorry about the misunderstanding. Tufflaw 21:19, 9 February 2006 (UTC)
I have no idea what you are talking about.

I think you may have me confused for this user: 172.165.235.249. This is NOT my IP address, as my IP address starts with a 71.--IAMTHEPEOPLESCHAMP 14:20, 9 February 2006 (UTC)

Image Tagging Image:Wackbagmain.jpg
[edit]This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading Image:Wackbagmain.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is therefore unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then you need to argue that we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then you should also specify where you found it, i.e., in most cases link to the website where you got it, and the terms of use for content from that page.
If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then you must also add one. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then you can use {{GFDL-self}} to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, please read fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other media, please check that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BRossow 19:39, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Ch hits special x lg.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ch hits special x lg.gif. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Image copyright problem with Image:Ward_cleaver_lg.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Ward_cleaver_lg.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

Arnie Spanier
[edit]I tagged the article for deletion because:
- I did not think it was notable enough for Wikipedia - just being a person as you put it isn't enough to get included. I've run a quick google scan and I concede that he is probably notable enough to be included
- The article has no content - one sentance is hardly even a stub. If you are planning to expand the entry into a better stub and include a bit more information then I would be happy for it to stay.
On a separate point you shouldn't really delete tags from articles without first trying to address what has been raised, either by improving the entry or talking about it - its against wikipedia policy and just creates friction where it needn't
If you have any other questions, please feel free. have fun editing! take care Mammal4 16:39, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:90slogocc.JPG)
[edit]This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:90slogocc.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful.
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. —Bkell (talk) 01:29, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
O&A Army
[edit]I understand that you want it delted so either prod it or take it to Afd. But please do not be disruptive by putting a speedy tag back on it. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 03:56, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- Go to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion#How to list pages for deletion. Use {{subst:afd1}} on the O&A Army. THen follow the red link and put {{subst:afd2 | pg=PageName | cat=Category | text=Reason the page should be deleted}} ~~~~ on that page. And you did the third part. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 04:04, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- Or for a prod just use {{subst:prod|reason}}. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 04:05, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- I fixed the "subst". You need to watch because anybody, but not me, can remove that without a reason. In that case the only thing is an AfD. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 04:11, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

Unfortunately for your misinformed self, I did not ask Dugout Doug to come until AFTER he himself had already become involved. Look at the times of each edit and you will see what I say is true. If you have a problem with this, deal. Payneos 03:15, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Just because you linked that, NOW I am aware of Dugout Doug's posts, and as such, I NOW have asked for help in a responsible way. The Wiki needs editors, and this encyclopedia needs information to give to the masses. THis is important information, and you will come to realize that one way or another. Payneos 03:22, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Rather than try to fix the articles, you just whined and asked for help from others in deleting them (By following the deletion procedures). There was no effort on your part to make it better, just destroy it. Payneos 03:26, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
You have yet to prove it's not wiki-able in a total fashion which warrants a total deletion. Payneos 03:29, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
I have, and so far, I'm not impressed. It seems less of an effort to read and make the article better and more an article simply to delete because they think it's fancruft, which it is not. If it had no verifiable sources, I would agree. However... it does. Payneos 03:33, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Wrong. WP:CRUFT is not policy, but something that some wikipedians feel should be enforced. However, it is not offical, nor does everyone agree with it. Payneos 03:36, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:SNR_logo.gif
[edit]Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SNR_logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Videmus Omnia Talk 00:55, 4 August 2007 (UTC)

Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello IAMTHEPEOPLESCHAMP! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 3 of the articles that you created are Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. Please note that all biographies of living persons must be sourced. If you were to add reliable, secondary sources to these articles, it would greatly help us with the current 612 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Chris Russell - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Bob Berger - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
