Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of RIS: Police Sciantifique (season 1), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: List of R.I.S, police scientifique episodes. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:06, 7 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:RIS: Police Sciantifique (season 3), a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:40, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Ilija zmikic. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "RIS: Police Sciantifique".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 23:17, 25 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dynasty seasons

[edit]

Hey, thanks for your recent edits. While I appreciate you taking the initiative and starting to extract info from Dynasty (1981 TV series) and List of Dynasty (1981 TV series) episodes to create season articles, you seem to be merely cutting and pasting and not making any attempt to reformat the material to better suit a season article, or even restore broken citations from the main article. In addition, I'm concerned that if you create later seasons which have very little sourced info in the main article without bolstering them with new citations, these articles may be targeted for deletion based on lack of notability as standalone articles. I'd be happy to discuss this process with you, but I ask that you be more thoughtful in the future about creating these articles, and not move on to the next one until you have made a good-faith effort to improve a newly-created one. Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 16:04, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Dynasty (1981 TV series) into another page. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 19:38, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please pay attention to edit summaries and talk page comments. You have reverted mass edits without explanation and restored copyrighted material on at least two Dynasty season articles. Continuing this kind of editing may result in your being blocked from editing altogether. Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 01:43, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
You appear to be actively ignoring edit summaries and these talk page comments. If you can't follow the rules, you should not be editing. If this nonsense continues you will be reported to ARV. Thanks.— TAnthonyTalk 04:20, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Ilija zmikic, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Dynasty (1981 TV series, season 3) have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — TAnthonyTalk 18:40, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

While you may not have been aware that the episode summaries you were copying from List of Dynasty (1981 TV series) episodes were copyright violations from web reviews and DVD packaging, my edit summaries removing the content made it clear that they are, and you restored it anyway. Copyright violation is a serious issue here, please stop with your disruptive editing.— TAnthonyTalk 18:44, 17 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on The Colbys (season 1) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://trakt.tv/shows/the-colbys/seasons/1. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. The Colbys season articles

[edit]

Please familiarize yourself with Wikipedia:Splitting, which explains the criteria for splitting out lists, as well as Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Television, which touches on season articles. In the particular case of The Colbys, there is no reason to pull episode lists into sloppy individual season articles with no expanded content. Further, you continue to make drastic edits without explanation or even an edit summary, as you did with the Dynasty season articles. This is unacceptable editing behavior.— TAnthonyTalk 22:37, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary.

Edit summaries are particularly important to help justify potentially controversial edits. You should always engage in talk page discussions regarding your edits when your additions have been challenged in good faith.

I don't believe you have ever used an edit summary or participated in any discussion on any user or article talk page, and yet you continue making drastic edits, and restore them when they are reverted. In the past I tried to assume you were a newcomer and were acting in good faith, but your continued non-collaborative editing behavior has proven otherwise. If you refuse to engage in discussions regarding your controversial edits, your editing privileges may be curbed.TAnthonyTalk 23:09, 18 February 2020 (UTC)TAnthonyTalk 23:09, 18 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, RIS: Delitti Imperfetti (season 4), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption.
