Rupaul's Drag Race Contestant Table Edit
[edit]Hello.
I noticed that you recently made some modifications to the contestant table on the RuPaul's Drag Race (season 6) article. However, those modifications were nonconstructive and unnecessary. Unless you want to make edits for the benefit of the page, don't do them. Otherwise, you simply waste your time, and our time undoing your edits.
Thank you for your understanding.
─ Fabzzz talk 15:37, 18 March 2014 (UTC)
I'd like to say that my modifications to the Rupaul's Drag Race Season 6 page were not unnecessary. When viewing the page on any type of phone or tablet, the boxes of each individual contestant were not in line and were all different shapes and sizes. Unless you have any other alternative to combat this problem, I will continue to edit for the benefit of mobile or tablet users who want to keep updated with the latest Rupaul's Drag Race news in the CORRECT format.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Irin161 (talk • contribs)
- I'm looking at the article on a mobile device right now, and it looks perfectly fine. The size, boxes, shapes and sizes all look perfectly fine. The format and color of the contestant table has been decided here. If you want to discuss or propose any modifications, please do it there. If not, any changes to the format of the contestant table will be reverted. Wikipedia is not initially designed for mobile devices. If the mobile device you are using cannot load the contestant table properly, that is neither fair or a good excuse to make a changes for the whole community only for the mobile device you use to make it compatible. Again, your edits will simply result in a waste of your time, since your edits will be reverted.
- Again, thank you for understanding. ─ Fabzzz talk 05:30, 19 March 2014 (UTC)

Manual of style violation
[edit]Please refrain from making edits like this one and also this one. The use of silver and bronze to highlight 2nd and 3rd places is not done on Eurovision articles. That decision was unanimously agreed by consensus of the members of Project Eurovision, as Eurovision only awards to the winner (which is highlighted in gold). Wes Wolf Talk 16:45, 1 May 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Eurovision Song Contest 2015. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. If you continue, you will be blocked for edit warring and 3-revert rule. Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello Irin161! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. All other images must be made available under a free and open license that allows commercial and derivative reuse to be used on Wikipedia.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. --Deepfriedokra (talk) 22:32, 6 March 2021 (UTC)
