Speedy deletion nomination of Hacketts Jantzen Terrell Sports Guy
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Hacketts Jantzen Terrell Sports Guy requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. MikeWazowski (talk) 05:07, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

The article Samuel Freeman (baseball) has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:
- All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Samuel Freeman (baseball)
[edit]I made some changes to your Samuel Freeman (baseball) article to address:
- WP:Wikify, format as a WP article (verbiage, references, removed unnecessary sections for a short article)
- WP:Deadend, include wikilinks to other articles
- WP:Footnotes
- WP:Category
I'm not sure if it passes the WP:notability test, because it seems that he's just in the minors. But I thought I'd let you know the kinds of things that are helpful in ensuring a successful article for next time. Good luck!--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:45, 2 January 2012 (UTC)
- I just realized it already had been tagged with a concern for notability. I returned the tag. In the future, the best way around this is to paraphrase the content (WP:Close paraphrasing). Content directly taken from a website without paraphrasing is destined to be deleted. And find topics that are notable. If I can help out with your next article to avoid the pitfalls, let me know.--CaroleHenson (talk) 17:48, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Articles
[edit]I'm not really sure why you're playing around rather than trying to fix your articles, but I've made the edits needed to save the following articles:
Both of these could have had immediate deletion due to copyright violations. It's important to paraphrase copyrighted information or you could also lose access to Wikipedia. There was also incorrect information in the article for Erik Komatsu.
I'm not sure if you're attempting to perform vandalism or if you really want to write articles. If it's the latter and I can help, let me know.--CaroleHenson (talk) 23:02, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- To keep the following articles, you may want to: 1) reword to avoid copyright violations, 2) ensure the information is accurate and 3) add references. You can check out the Komatsu and Freeman articles as examples. Let me know if you need help.
The article Matthew West (baseball) has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Adam Penale (talk) 20:25, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

Jake Diekman
[edit]You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
The article Jake Diekman has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 22:18, 22 January 2012 (UTC)
