If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Nanjing Sifang Art Museum requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Linked Hybrid

[edit]

I have reverted your edits to Linked Hybrid as a copyright violation of [1]. Do not copy text verbatim from other websites for inclusion into Wikipedia. Doing so is a copyright violation, and repeated instances will get you blocked. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 15:27, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Really, you shouldn't do this. Even if you do work for the architect (as you claim on Talk:Nanjing Sifang Art Museum), you have not followed the proper process for contributing this copyrighted material, and the material is not appropriate for Wikipedia any as the artist's own opinions about his work are just that: opinions, not verifiable facts. Copyright, promotion, conflict of interest

[edit]

It is not enough to say that "the text was added by an administrator of the copyright holder". For one thing, copyright violation can have serious legal consequences, and we have no way to be certain that someone on the end of a wire is who he says or has the authority he claims; for another, release to Wikipedia involves more than just permission to reproduce, the terms of Wikipedia's license permit any reader to copy, modify and re-use for any purpose including commercial, and it is essential that the actual copyright owner understands and agrees to this.

The way to make a copyright release is described at WP:Donating copyrighted materials, but it is very seldom worth doing that, because material written for other purposes usually has a promotional tone unsuitable for an encyclopedia article, which requires a WP:Neutral point of view. Wikipedia is not a noticeboard for display of material written for other purposes.

The Wikipedia:Verifiability policy applies to all claims made in an article, and to establish WP:Notability it is necessary to provide references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject."

There is good advice on how to write an acceptable article at WP:Your first article; if you are connected with the company whose work you are writing about, you should also read the guidelines WP:Conflict of interest and WP:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest. Alex gil moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Alex gil, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the prompts on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. ... discospinster talk 16:21, 3 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
