Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject. Deliberately adding such content or otherwise editing articles maliciously is considered vandalism; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Please don't leave personal messages in article space!
[edit]Hello. I've removed the message you added to the article on Heinrich Schliemann. If you need to message other users, please do so on their personal talk-pages -- much as I'm doing now. Thank you. Haploidavey (talk) 00:37, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Haploidavey. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Heinrich Schliemann, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please don't place your personal comments in articles! Haploidavey (talk) 00:42, 20 March 2017 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Patoo The Bird
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Patoo The Bird requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an individual animal, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. power~enwiki (π, ν) 22:11, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Although I'm not RHaworth, I responded to your message on their talk page. Also, I moved it to the bottom because that is where new messages should go. Anon126 (notify me of responses! / talk / contribs) 23:08, 28 February 2018 (UTC)

- Please disregard the above notice and/or feel free to remove it. Although it was placed here in good faith it appears to have been a misunderstanding regarding some of your recent edits. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. Best regards... -Ad Orientem (talk) 23:43, 28 February 2018 (UTC)
- Julsi67, I'm sorry Patoo the bird got deleted, and know how disappointed you must be. When I was first beginning editing, people were deleting and contesting my work sometimes. It's frustrating, if not downright hurtful for that to happen. You are not alone in that. Please continue to keep trying at editing Wikipedia, at creating articles. I see that the Wikipedia:Teahouse originally posted at the top of your talk page. I would like to urge you to keep in touch with them. Their whole purpose is to help guide editors through the maze of learning how to edit at Wikipedia. And good luck. — Maile (talk) 00:50, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
- Maile66, Cheers, I didn't know what teahouse did.
