Vancouver Island communities[edit]

Hi! I've noticed that much of entries of the communities in Vancouver Island lack any reference they're set in Canada. Don't you think that a user from Andorra or Burkina Faso could have some doubt in locating the thing? Let me know and good work! --Attilios 09:11, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Attilios. Thank you for your kind words. Actually, if you check all of the Vancouver Island articles, you'll see that they mention Canada in the very first line of each one. -- Juxtatype 05:54, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good work and thanks a lot! Check at my edits of Clo-oose, British Columbia for some other hints. For example, no need to write "Brief history" (reader will see by himself that's it's brief, eh eh) and remember to not use capital letters in headers titles. Thank you also for nice wods, and see you soon. --Attilios 07:33, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed in the article history that you had moved this page from "Carantoc" to "Saint Carantoc" with an edit summary of "Conforming with other saint pages." Actually, many saint pages are titled without the word "saint," and the article "Saint Name" is often a redirect to the article title without the word saint. Wikipedia has a policy on this, and it is a part of wikipedia naming conventions that the word saint, with a few notable exceptions, does not go in the article title. The Saints Wikiproject notes the same thing, that the preferred title is without the word Saint. --- Pastordavid 20:06, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the head's up. I'll do that from now on. --- Juxtatype 06:48, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. Just trying to get people who edit Saints articles on the same page. Thanks for your speedy and understandign response. Pastordavid 16:08, 23 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read WP:REF and then work on the references for Benziger Brothers[edit]

The reference you gave for Benziger Brothers is not very helpful. Please don't misunderstand. I want to help you make the article better. In that regard, I suggest you read WP:REF. I specifically suggest that you learn how to use the <ref> and <references/> tags. Those tags are described at WP:FOOT. You don't use references to state where you got the material but where we can verify the article. Will (Talk - contribs) 07:23, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Juxtatype. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image (Image:Brent smile.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Juxtatype/Userboxes. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 07:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Juxtatype, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image (Image:Twombly leda.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Juxtatype/Userboxes. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Please note that it is possible that the image on your page is included vie a template or usebox. In that case, please find a free image for the template or userbox. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot)-talk 05:09, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Joaquín Sáenz y Arriaga[edit]

I just moved the page to Joaquín Sáenz y Arriaga for spelling reasons and wrote something in the talk page which you might find interesting.

Orphaned non-free image (Image:DBdetail.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DBdetail.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:02, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of TAN Books & Publishers[edit]

A tag has been placed on TAN Books & Publishers requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. AfD nomination of TAN Books & Publishers[edit]

I have nominated TAN Books & Publishers, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/TAN Books & Publishers. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. Ironholds (talk) 12:06, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Haida_Gwaii.jpg[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Haida_Gwaii.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please refer to the image use policy to learn what images you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. Please also check any other files you have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions or are in need of assistance please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
