Reverting Edits
There has to be an easier way to combat vandals than what I have to do here at Wikipedia. --Kf4bdy 03:51, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
- I've thought that many times myself. If you want a way to parse edits more effectively, I would suggest User:CryptoDerk/CDVF while Wikipedia:Tools/Navigation popups has a "revert" function when in an article history. I truly don't know how I edited before pop-ups. (I followed you from Rwandan Genocide, in case you were wondering.) Cheers, BanyanTree 03:59, 9 January 2006 (UTC)
Kf4bdy, the movies you continue to put back up on the 'Independent film' page which I continue to remove are either NOT independent films or not historically significant enough to be listed as 'Significant Independent Films.' Pteranodon 06:13, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Hey, I got one of those automatic welcome messages but with your name on it... if you have a wee bit of time to spare, could you look over my first changes to an article? It's a music album (OK Go (album)) and I've just added times and band members. Cheers! Satansrubberduck 19:56, 12 January 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for having a look for me. My problem is that I can't really add a lot more than the facts that are in the liner notes in front of me - I'm not hunting the internet looking for reliable advice on how good or bad (or successfull) an album was, and I can't use my own opinions as facts, as everything I own would be "critically acclaimed" etc. But again, thanks :) Satansrubberduck 05:55, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for Welcoming me
ShockFire: Thanks for welcoming me also. I frist thought when you welcomed it was a auto message. So that's why I didn't respond hour's ago. But when I looked closer I noticed it was a person. So thanks for that helpful welcoming introduction. :) Thank you.

Nothing original here.....
.....just another thank you for your kind welcome. I've been having a lot of fun. Cheers, --MILH 05:08, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Amazing!
I've just found Amarok saying there is no Wikipedia article Alex Party. I immediately scratched a page about, discovered there were already links to this (previously non-existent) page, and while still polishing the article I got the welcome! Amazing! Thanks :) --GrAndrew 06:23, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the welcome + minor revision
Hi Kf4bdy,
Thanks for the nice welcome message. There is a small error in it however, and I thought you might like to know. It goes "and and result in your", I think the second 'and' should be a will. Otherwise, thanks a bunch and see you around the wikiwikiwikiblahblahblah!
Best Regards, Zzthex 06:51, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Edit Summaries
I noted all your hard work at welcoming new user. Thank you for doing this. I would also like to request that you use edit summaries when you edit to make it clear what you are doing. I like to use something like "welcome" on the edit summary when I do welcomes. best, Kukini 06:56, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks :)
Appreciate the welcome and links. Vesperholly 07:07, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you
Hi Kf4bdy
Thanks for the welcome, nice to be greeted by a Christian brother, really interested to read your profile. Keep up the good work. Slowly getting the hang of this wikipedia business - it's like full immersion in another culture!!

thanks, but...
Thanks for the welcome, but it kind of loses its meaning when I come here and see that it's a bit of a cookie cutter post... and I said "newbish". my point: I've already gotten the basics down, and all those little links were already known to me. But thanks for the consideration (cookie cutter welcome still is not the best kind of welcome). Komlon
Thank you!
Thank you for your welcoming message, and thank you for motivating me to actually do something with my profile page. It may look kinda rudimentary right now, but it's far more than I would have been motivated to do had I not received your message. So thanks! Krushsister 19:16, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!
Thanks for the Welcome as well. :) I've been around wikis before, and love editing them and stuff, but just new here. :D -- Angela 07:17, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Merci
Bonjour Kf4bdy ! Merci pour ta bienvenue. You know, I won't be a smart writer in the en:WP ; until today, I'm mainly writing fr:link in the Edit summary of some translated articles ! ℍenry, encyclophile (speak slowly, please) 08:05, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
Acronymitus
I don't know how I actually got here, except I remember an greetings and salutations from Kf4bdy, perhaps after putting up an acronym which took amazingly great lengths of research time, and, basically resulted in 50% - 100% best guess.
I thought it atrocius that I could not find any authoritative and definitive source dictionary of acronyms, not even at Britannica, nor at any so-called "top" university in the world.
With the spread of acronyms comes the spread of what I've deemed "acronymitus." This is basically just poor practices in English [or any other language for that matter], and it seems to turn our children into "zoids," another famous term we all know, but where is the definition?
I had heard that great scholars were getting involved in Wikipedia, which is always a dreaded fear, of people like me, and most probably fine and best scholars, such as Samuel Johnson, Author of the first Dictionary of the English Language.
Aside from the fact that George Orwell feared most scholars as "The men who rewrite history past, history present, and history future," there is also a fear that such scribes and scholars will get it all confused and the ensuing copyright and patent battle would rage into a world war.
Wikipedia should remain an encyclopedi of the human race, not just another preceptual redefintion space owned and operated by the scholar tribe.
With that, and owing Samuel Johnson a great deal of inspiration for honesty through humorous, but accurate content, in definitions, one should not forget that first and foremost a paedia, a "foot" or "footnote," in English or Latin, must precede as a baby just learning to walk, which is a joy to watch and a fun thing that often causes the laughter of joy. One foot first, then one foot after another, carefully guaging and calculating each step.
I don't know how on Earth Kf4bdy got all the knowledge he or she has [except that some are just able to remember every trivial fact they ever come across, which also happens to me], but I respect what is said, and, I am most grateful for the personal "Hello!"
So, thank you Kf4nby.
And I'll try my best to keep definitions and footnotes as short as I can, but always with a tone dead emotional approach: the father of English humour.
Just plain old thanks, bud.
- Note: the acronym referred to was [sstsys-lm]
My gratitude
Thank you for welcoming me to wikipedia, it's nice to be greeted by a fellow Christian. However, Komlonis right, it would be nice if the welcome page was spruced up with a little personalization. In your Babel box on your user page it reads: This user speak English at a native level. It should read: This user speaks English at a native level.--skinarnia2012 05:05, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks?
I'm not sure if I want to thank you for the welcome or not. I recieved it right after an edit, but it was not my first one (not that I'm prolific -- 11 edits in 6 months, several of which were on talk pages or minor edits). It confused me a bit, and really "sounded" like a bot of some sort. So I didn't like the welcome but I appreciate the intent. Rahulchandra 05:23, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Thank you, and may i request help?
hello! thank you for your greeting, it was just what i was looking for! i actually created a new page, which is a candidate for speedy deletion. This is understandable i suppose based on the quality of the page. But the content is not something that deserves deletion. I have been trying to get help from more experienced users in editing the page, but not much has been done. I was hoping you may be able to help me by improvng the page up to wikipedia standards while i learn how to create quality pages. I fear that if no one helps soon, the page will be deleted. I have contested the speedy deletion, but it may not stand. Thank you once again for the greeting, and i hope you can find time for this!
