April 2022[edit]

Information icon Hi Leo0274! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Bertrand of Orléans-Braganza that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. DrKay (talk) 18:53, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Noted, thanks for the correction, I will pay attention to it in future edits Leo0274 (talk) 18:56, 11 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

An article you recently created, Royal and Dynastic Order of the Eagle of Hohoe, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. I created three pages, two about orders and one about a medal, from a sub-national monarchy in Ghana, I have more references than other pages about orders from sub-national monarchies, which are published on wikipedia, with few sources, and mostly referenced by their own page.
I used most of the same references as the Royal Order of the Elephant of Godenu and the Royal Order of the Lion of Godenu, both of which have few references, mostly referencing their own webpage, and most of the links don´t work. Leo0274 (talk) 11:17, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Editing logged out[edit]

Hello, Leo0274,

Please do not log out to edit as IP editors, especially to give the appearance of more support for your position in an AFD deletion discussion. This behavior can be seen as sockpuppetry and result in a loss of editing privileges. It's quite transparent to those who have been editing Wikipedia for a long time as it is quite unlikely that two different IP editors from the same geographic area would suddenly decide to edit Wikipedia and then immediately head to the AFD discussion involving your article to make their first edits in support of your position. I'm just advising you to not do this again as it is likely to backfire on you. I'm letting you off with a warning that I hope you heed. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 07:28, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, sorry, it was a mistake, I didn´t logged out with this intention, one of the edits I did on my phone and the other on my work computer, and didn´t remember my password. It won´t happen again Leo0274 (talk) 14:13, 27 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Gharios+Bujar.webp[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Gharios+Bujar.webp. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:30, 26 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Gharios+Bujar.webp[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Gharios+Bujar.webp. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:18, 29 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia and copyright[edit]

Control copyright icon Hello Leo0274! Your additions to Draft:Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Numan VIII have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 22:03, 11 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Leo0274. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Royal Jubilee Medal (Hohoe) 2022".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. plicit 00:07, 28 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
