Beallsville, Maryland[edit]

Hi, Mack. Thanks for your edits on Beallsville, Maryland and your good-faith efforts to improve the article.

I know you're a bit new to Wikipedia, and some of your edits are making the article somewhat unattractive.

I propose the following: please make a copy (or I'll make a copy for you, if you prefer) in your private user space, for you to edit and experiment on, until you think you have it in a form that you think is ready to go into the regular article area. (This is referred to as as "sandbox" and you can read more about it at WP:About the Sandbox). I'll restore the article to the way it looked before your edits; and you can copy your edits back in when you think it's ready to go live. Sound good? TJRC (talk) 22:50, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, I see someone's jumped in to rescue it; never mind. TJRC (talk) 00:03, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Darbystore beallsville md.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ww2censor (talk) 03:43, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

File source problem with File:Darbystore.jpg[edit]

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Darbystore.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 03:44, 29 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 03:44, 29 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Beallsville[edit]

Will you please stop for a moment making a thousand edits a minute--I'm trying to clean this up and keep getting edit conflicts. Drmies (talk) 23:41, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Phew. OK, look at the article history and see what you've done: a thousand edits and all of them messed up the article one way or another. You should use "Show preview" to see if you got it right before you hit "Save Page." The problem was that you used the references templates incorrectly. Drmies (talk) 23:43, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Your edits to the article are not improvements. Besides the continual problem of the references, for some reason I can't fathom you insist on placing text below the categories and the templates, and that is not where they should be. My advice to you is to make smaller edits, to use the preview function, and to take advice when it comes to matters of WP standards. Drmies (talk) 23:46, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
