November 2021

[edit]

Blue warning icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at ICBT Campus. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to lose their editing privileges on that page. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to result in loss of your editing privileges. Thank you. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:28, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, you're reverting block evasion. No worries. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:29, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I have blocked them at Special:Contributions/43.250.243.0/24 for now; please notify me if the disruption continues from a different IP address range. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 11:36, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Versions conflict on the death year of Alexios II Komnenos

[edit]

1183 is more probable than 1182. He ascended the throne in 1180 and reigned for 3 years.——Heinrich ⅩⅦ von Bayern (talk) 13:52, 13 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion at WP:AN

[edit]

Hi The Alternate Mako, hope you're doing well. This is just to let you know that an IP editor, possibly the same user you've been interacting with at Alpha Motor Corporation, has started a thread at WP:AN that mentions you. It's at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard#Admin Abuse of Alpha Motor Corporation Page. DanCherek (talk) 15:06, 26 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Your message

[edit]

I have read the message you placed on my talk page. Please do not put messages like that on my talk page. WP:APPNOTE says "The audience must not be selected on the basis of their opinions—for example, if notices are sent to editors who previously supported deleting an article, then identical notices should be sent to those who supported keeping it" and "do not send messages to users who have asked not to receive them". James500 (talk) 14:19, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies, I must've misread that, or read something somewhere else that suggested only notifying people who might disagree. I was wanting you to weigh in, as I'd nominated that for deletion and was wanting your input to the discussion, since you had asked to keep previously. I wasn't aware that you had asked not to receive them, but I am now, apologies for that. Mako001 (talk) 14:29, 27 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

About case law

[edit]

A law report normally contains commentary on the case written by the reporter, that is not part of the judgment, and which is not a primary source in relation to the case. Where the same case is reported in more than one series of reports, those multiple reports are not a single source. James500 (talk) 07:07, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

PRODs

[edit]

Hello, The Alternate Mako,

Could you please space out the articles you PROD over a few days rather than all at once? Admins who review articles and files that have been PROD'd have to inspect them each individually to see if the tag was appropriate. There are typically between 20-50 articles PROD'd each day and today we already have 169! It's a lot for the patrolling admins to look over so if this is some big, new project of yours, please consider PRODding 10-30 articles a day over the course of a few days or a week instead of over 100 articles on one day. Thank you for your consideration. Liz Read! Talk! 21:46, 28 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry Liz, I didn't have much opportunity to do it during the week, and had prodded several before, but I did prod most on Sunday. I had come across a large group of articles by a single editor which mostly had major issues, regarding verifiability, synthesis of primary sources, notability and such, with some or many (such as a the Henry Petowe article) being potentially copyvios. these are all the ones I intend to prod out of this collection, so this won't be an ongoing thing, should I come across another large group of other articles with issues, I shall bear your advice in mind, thank you. Some of their other articles are salvageable, and I will see if I can rescue some. I have already done some work on the ones where deletion isn't appropriate.

Thank you for trying to help with WP:RFPP, but, unfortunately, this is one of strictly admin areas on Wikipedia. Even in fully uncontroversial cases, such as marking a request as done, a bot would only recognize it if the closing is done by an administrator. Declining requests also should be done by admins. Thanks again, and we have plenty of venues where non-admin clerking is highly welcome.--Ymblanter (talk) 12:31, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Bummer. Mako001 (talk) 12:32, 12 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Language troll sock

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for handling the reverts. The editor has already been blocked; just for the record, here are some diffs in case you're interested about the sockmaster: new sock[1], old sock[2], sockmaster[3]. –Austronesier (talk) 15:12, 15 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

List of WarnerMedia television programs

[edit]

Hello, can you remove Pretty Little Liars and Pretty Dirty Secrets off the Warner Bros. Television Studios section? Because there Warner Horizon shows not Warner Bros. TV shows. 148.252.129.113 (talk) 11:56, 18 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. Not for you sorry. I'll report you instead. I'm no-ones meatpuppet. Know someone called Nabasile? @Geraldo Perez: See the latest?

Why moving the talk page?

[edit]

@ Mako001, From the beginning, we are talking about Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Airport's destinations. But something is strange here, you do NOT want to revert your (unreliable) revision until NOW.

You do not want to put a little effort by checking all references I write before. Cause all of your reverts are not sourced at all.--Jellylovers (talk) 15:04, 21 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
