Not a problem, apologies in advance if I keep touching the music articles with other coins ... Miguel.mateo (talk) 11:32, 1 June 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:New Fifty Pence Coin.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:New Fifty Pence Coin.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. Puppet wife (Marionettenfrau)

I allow you to take some of the pictures from the Salzburg Wikipedia here in the English Wikipedia too. You can see on picture. I loaded it up, for about ten minutes.

If there is an article about the puppet wife, you can see the pictures.

Now they are "only" ;) in the article about the Getreidegasse. You can post the pictures there. I don't know, how I can do that you can see the picture there.

I wish you a nice weekend. --AndreaMimi (talk) 12:23, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

AndreaMimi, I am not sure that I understand you. If the article about this living person is notable enough then there should be no problems about it. Maybe would be better to create the article about her in German Wikipedia, so there is no language missunderstandings, then you can create one here in English and reference to the German article. How does that sound? Miguel.mateo (talk) 12:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

There is an article about her in the German Wikipedia since May. I take the informations from there and translate it.

Do you know, what I mean ? --AndreaMimi (talk) 16:21, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

I have written some puzzles of the article about the puppet wife in the German Wikipedia. So there is no problem with the copyright. ;)

You can see the article in the link http://www.salzburg.com/wiki/index.php/Marionettenfrau.

You can't unterstand it, but see the pictures. --AndreaMimi (talk) 10:02, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Rogers Park, Chicago

Hey mateo. I need some help with footnotes or maybe its a reference for the above article. I put the title of the source under ...sources...and the information under notes.

What I am attempting to do is respond to the "citation needed" request and, after I see how you do it , I can gather more info for refs, etc.

This stuff goes under the Community Policing section. Thanks a Wiki-bunch!--Buster7 (talk) 21:46, 6 June 2008 (UTC)

Buster7, I am not quite following you, do you need help putting the notes properly? If that is the case tell me where the first note is supposed to be and I will do the amendment for you. Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 12:37, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for you reply, Mateo. Yes, I need your help. The first section (that's the one I call Sources) is the name of the study, "Not in My Backyard" from Northwestern University, Evanston, Il. The next section (notes) is a synopsis of the study. They both relate to the Community Policing Section, and I would like them to be referenced whatever way is best for the article. So...however you think is best, I'll leave it up to you. Once you do your magic, I can see how and what you do and learn something. (I accidently deleted your first Lesson of a few weeks back. It was a display of how to use (/ref-ref), or something like that). The name of the article is Rogers Park, Chicago...where I live. LOL--Buster7 (talk) 22:03, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

Take a look at what I did, not sure if that is correct but I hope it can give you an idea. See also check, WP:cite book. Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 23:24, 7 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Matt..(my 3rd son is Matt. and his son(my oldest grandson) is also Matt...we call him Matteo...Great, thanks so much. I was able to move it around by cut and paste. But now....what can I do with that loooooonnnnngggg note section, which is really just more information if someone is interested ? Ive seen added pages in some city and town articles but didnt really pay attention as to how it was done. Im gonna read the cite article now...maybe it is there.--Buster7 (talk) 00:36, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
I thought you wanted to cut it in pieces all over the article doing something similar to what I did. If that is not the case, maybe a section for it should be enough. Be carefull with copyright violations. Good luck, Miguel.mateo (talk) 03:57, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Questions on User:Henrik's talk page

Hello Miguel.mateo,
your assumption is correct, the page has 155 page hits in that hour then. The second number is for the amount of transferred bytes, see [1]. --- Greetings, Melancholie (talk) 14:17, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Wow, that was fast, thank you very much! Miguel.mateo (talk) 15:08, 8 June 2008 (UTC)

Great Job

Hey, Sorry I haven't been working on the articles recently, I've noticed you have so thank you for your work great job, I have my new comp up and running so I will be working on the articles start of July.

P.S. I received an order from your friend today, The coins are in great nick Cheers for introducing us!.

Great about the coins, unfortunately I am getting crazy with the latest acquisitions I want to make (silver and gold coins) and the so many sellers out there. It's a pity for me that I decided to get into it six years after they were minted, so now I have a huge catch up to make and not too much budget to spend on regular basis (is more than 20,000 euros worth of coins!).
For the articles, do not worry, I put my self a goal of three tasks per day. So far they are: referencing Austria (almost finished), citing Belgium (as suggested in the peer review, also almost finished) and fixing the data in Finland (just Finished). The next new task from tomorrow is fixing the descriptions of Finland while referencing it, which will take me a while.
Take care with your personal issues, I am sure you will be doing soon a lot of contributions. There are very good sources for German and Greece, which should be a piece of cake for you!
Regards,Miguel.mateo (talk) 10:05, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
PS. Finland and Belgium just released new coins, I am updating that now.
PS2. I saw (physically with my own eyes, not on the internet) a wooden box with the Greek 2004 Olympic Games collection: 12 silver coins and 6 gold coins, absolutely beautiful! The guy wanted almost 3000 euros for it; I really had to hide my ATM cards this time! Maybe next month will go for it, if that is the case … way to start my silver and gold collection!!!
I don't know much about the Gold and Silver coins, I hope your purchase works in your favor.
If you do get em make sure to let me in on what ones you got.Kevin hipwell (talk) 06:22, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
I think I will start for the coins that I know very well, meaning start collecting coins from the articles we have been working on. I want to make sure what the coins are and what is the market price available. There are so many coins anyway, that it will take me quite a while to get them all. Miguel.mateo (talk) 14:03, 21 June 2008 (UTC)
You should get the Austrian Niobium coins they are very nice coins, I have the 2005,2006,2007 & 2008 ones and I am very pleased with the purchase.
I reckon you can get those ones at €49 each, the 2004 one for about €75 and the 2003 one for €135.Kevin hipwell (talk) 20:30, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Changes

I feel that a header with a line looks significantly better for a top-level header. It is also the standard for all other articles. See WP:HEAD. I will do the others I see. Reywas92Talk 13:06, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I don't see the problem with the article you linked to. Only the top header needs to be ==, the level below it can still be ===. Reywas92Talk 13:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Please check the other years as well, just in case. thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 13:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

EU in GDP

To be very honest: In contrast to you, I have no understanding as to why American nationality obviously causes anger when the EU is included in this list. I am quite irritated by the accusation of having an EU agenda to push and I would highly appreciate, if those aspects are simply kept out of the discussion. I mean, I am not hear to make the EU shine brighter than it is and I wish that the other side isn't here to do so for their country (which might be the US). I really do not care where they are from. I want the EU included, because of all the good arguments that (for example) you gave, and I am convinced I would think this way even if I was born in Alaska. Thanks for your support...

... also with respect to the semi-protection. I was quite disappointed to see that only you reacted positively to this request. The IPs vandalized so obviously that it was probably clear even to our opponents. I hope it is just an unfortunate coincidence that they left this little issue up to us, and that their not-caring has nothing to do with the fact that the vandal targeted the EU data. The least I can say is that an opportunity to exercise fairness was missed.

I hope my tension will go by soon ;-) Tomeasytalk 13:31, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Sorry for my ignorance, but what sarcasm did you mean?Tomeasytalk 08:21, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Reading your latest post on the article talk page, I see what you mean. In deed this is incredible. He/She denounces others as ignorant ... Tomeasytalk 08:23, 19 June 2008 (UTC)
Geografy called us ignorants, so I am using that word when referring to us going forward ...

Informal reprimand! I have struck out your comment that discussion should take place elsewhere. I have decided that discussion should take place at Talk:List_of_countries_by_GDP_(nominal)#Informal_mediation, and that is where I have invited people to come. I do not wish at this stage to have a split discussion - nor do I wish for someone else to be directing the mediation with all the potential confusion and conflict that would cause. If you have any other suggestions for how the mediation should take place please come and discuss them with me first. Regards SilkTork *YES! 18:29, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

Bad on me, I thought it makes more sense to have the discussion in one place than instead of two places, nothing else. After reading the MC process, I personally think it was called too soon. But anyway ... Miguel.mateo (talk) 22:45, 16 June 2008 (UTC)

You've been mentioned at the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest/Noticeboard

Hello Miguel. You are welcome to join the discussion there and give your own opinion. EdJohnston (talk) 03:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Thanks Ed, to be honest the plaintiff should be the one making this note in my page, but anyways we are all humans. You defended me pretty well, I appreciated that. On one personal note, what I write in the user's page is not necessarily all the truth about me (or any other user). If I explain what I do for living, this editor might change his opinion. Thanks again, honestly, Miguel.mateo (talk) 05:04, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: Recent edits to Euro

Thanks for the heads up. I seem to have forgotten about some of the precedents established here and here. This is what I was originally going to argue, but it seems that the article was already in line, so I will go ahead and make the necessary changes. By the way I found a Web site that lists some of the gold and silver Greek euro coins. Seems like they were made for the 2004 Olympics. Hope this helps if you are going to start up a page for Greece. – Zntrip 05:21, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

You're welcome. To be honest I do not have too much to say about the languages, but there has been a lot of arguments in the past about this topic. And THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the link, definitely will be used. Miguel.mateo (talk) 06:23, 17 June 2008 (UTC)

Marriage

42 years of marriage and I can't even spell it right. Thanks--Buster7 (talk) 00:04, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

:)) Miguel.mateo (talk) 00:11, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

The Prince

Regarding Metternich---May I suggest..."Metternich's significant legacy in Modern European History is recognized by his image being chosen as the main motif for the $20 Euro.................."

I would also support moving this from the 'see also' section to the main body of the article. His selection as the image on a $20 coin certainly displays his importance and significance. --Buster7 (talk) 13:41, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Will do as requested. I moved it to the see also section thinking there was not enough content, but you have made me think twice, I will put it back as it was before and will change to your suggestions. Thanks as always, Miguel.mateo (talk) 13:57, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

IP block

I am not sure if it is related or not, but today same IP started to vandalize the exact same page. Please help in Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/202.128.34.205 since I am not sure if what I did is the right to do or not. Thanks, Miguel.mateo (talk) 15:37, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

You did the right thing. The IP has now been blocked for one month. That IP account now has a poor history, it is highly likely if that IP account comes back to do more damage in a month's time that the account will get a long term block. SilkTork *YES! 07:26, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Forgive me - I somehow neglected to send you this notice on Saturday.:

The Mediation discussion regarding the inclusion of the EU in List of countries by GDP (nominal) has come to a conclusion with the following result:

  • The EU to remain in List of countries by GDP (nominal).
  • The EU to be positioned according to GDP rank between World and USA.
  • No consensus on the EU appearing in all three charts. By convention this means the situation would remain as current - that is the EU remains on all three charts.
  • Data for the EU on each chart to only be given if sourced, otherwise a dash to replace the data.
  • Explanation to be placed in the lead section for the appearance of the EU and other non-countries. Possible wording: "Several economies which are not normally considered to be countries are included in the list because they appear in the sources. These economies are not ranked in the charts here, but are listed in sequence by GDP for comparison."
  • The List retains the current name.
  • A suggestion by Tomeasy that I feel should be carried out is that the sister articles are given the same treatment as agreed above.

Unless there are significant disagreements this morning I will be closing the Mediation. Any questions, please get in touch. Regards SilkTork *YES! 07:28, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much SilkTork, excellent job. Miguel.mateo (talk) 07:44, 23 June 2008 (UTC)

Steinbrück locomotive

Hi, I found this, which gives a brief history of the loco and also there should be some good pointers for search terms too. Mjroots (talk) 14:25, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Thank you very much!!! Miguel.mateo (talk) 14:56, 24 June 2008 (UTC)
